Magnificent mountain chain L'arête des grands Montets with left the hump of Petite Aiguille Verte 3512 m, in the middle the sharp needle of the Pointe de Gigord 3475 m, and right Pointe Farrar 3660 m, just North from Aiguille Carree 3716 m(extreme right rising up); all somewhat North of Aiguille Verte 4122 m, at 21 Januari 2016 with fresh snow! Photo taken from the hotel at 1065 m height and a distance of some 6 km of this ridge.

Panoramic view at The Drus 3751 m, with Aiguille Verte 4122 m behind it (the white saddle left of it). The sharp rocky peak in between hes 2 is the Pic sans nom 3791 m. The pure withe hump left is the Petite Aiguille Verte 3512 m, and the almost square peak more in the center is the Aiguille Carree 3716 m. The photolocation was just beside the main road between Chamonix and Argentiere, at a height of some 1060 m and 5 to 6 km distance from these peaks. The Drus rise up over more than 1000 m above the glacier in front of it!
