"We liked the Holiday Inn Express Caen/Epron. It was new, very clean and the staff was exceptionally helpful. The only drawback is there isn’t anything within walking distance. It’s kind of in a business area so you can’t walk to a cafe or even a grocery store. We had a car and were comfortable driving everywhere so it wasn’t a problem but it could be if you’re expecting it to be in an area that is walkable. "

"Mathieu and family made us feel very welcome in this lovely little hotel. The rooms are small and simple, but tastefully designed and very comfortable. It's a small hotel, so don't expect a huge buffet breakfast - just good bread, cheese, homemade yogurt and the local speciality teurgoule. The location is perfect, within walking distance of the castle and abbeys, and there are lots of buses and trams (get the Twisto app}. "

"Stayed for 1 night in late September 2025. The room was spacious, the onsite restaurant was great, with delicious meals. The morning breakfast provided some of the best croissants ever, probably from the nearby boulangerie. We were welcomed on arrival, and were provided with secure bicycle storage, which was ideal for us on our mini cycling holiday."
