"I want to say that I would have given 5 stars had it been only my experience rating this hotel. I stayed there for a week and my mom who came a week before me stayed there for 2 weeks. To me the staff were very friendly and helpful, room was cleaned and updated , the location was perfect. However, My 82 year old mom who checked in this hotel a week before me had a very negative experience with one staff person. She shares that this particular staff member was unprofessional, disrespectful and...

"The excellent staff did all they could to make or stay as pleasant as possible. However, the rooms were outdated and a bit scruffy. We had to ask for the rugs to be vacuumed and the bathroom floor washed before we felt comfortable with the cleanliness. The major drawbacks were that the hotel is without air conditioning and some rooms are quite noisy, as they are on the street with bar and restaurants all along the street on which the hotel resides. That said, I would consider looking at it again...

"Amadeus is idéal for an overnight or budget short stay in Haarlem. The rooms are above the bar/restaurant - and mine, on the 3rd floor was quiet. Nice staff - and continental breakfast ok s included."

"The owners were absolutely amazing, they gave us a lot of useful information upon our arrival. Extremely helpful. They even made us a breakfast to go on our departure day as we had to leave very early in the morning. The breakfast was wonderful. I wish I could give them 10 stars! Also the location was great as well. Very close to bus stops and the train station."
