Top Cayman Islands Hotel Reviews

The Locale Hotel Grand Cayman
6/10 Okay
"The hotel is facing probably one of the busiest streets on the island (hence the loud noise, also there smell of the sewer), and the other side faces the parking lot. The pool is small and separated by a few trees from the noisy road.
The walk to the beach is somewhat challenging because the path is very narrow. Two people can’t really pass each other, one has to step aside, and carrying chairs makes it more difficult. It’s about a 5 to 6 minute walk and it takes a bit of effort. The beach chairs and beach towels are provided, but there are no umbrellas.
Also, when you go to the public beach, keep in mind it is public, meaning there are many hotels and properties along the ocean. You will likely end up setting up in front of those properties. You’re not blocking anything, but you will still be right in front of them. If you’re comfortable with that, that’s just how it is.
The lobby is cramped. The restaurant, we had breakfast there several times and didn’t think much of it, so we ended up paying out of pocket and going elsewhere. We didn’t even want it for free, which takes away from the experience.
At check-in, we were charged about $240, and it was explained to us that the charge includes breakfast and beach towel usage. We thought it was included in the price, but it wasn’t.
The staff is professional, and the rooms are clean."

Seven Mile Beach Resort & Club
6/10 Okay
"Everything was excellent with my stay with two exceptions. The main problem was being awakened at 3am by loud rooster crowing from the poolside through the closed windows. I kept hearing this occasionally until I needed to wake up at 6:30 for diving. The other thing that wasn't perfect was the A/C unit seemed oversized and generated a big breeze when on and overcooled. Governors Village Seven Mile Beach Corridor
10/10 Excellent
"Usually when you walk into a vacation rental, you find that it is smaller, older, and less attractive than the photos made it appear, but the reverse was true in this case. We were so impressed with Governors Village! This place was perfect for 4 couples since everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom. It was super clean, well maintained, spacious, quiet and comfortable. The apartment was in a fantastic location just a couple of minutes walk from Governors Beach. There was plenty of parking and nice facilites (pool, restaurant, laundry, ping pong table, etc.)
We only wished it had an in-unit washer and dryer to handle all the wet swimsuits and towels. It cost $10 to wash and dry a load of laundry."

"The hospitality of the entire staff really stands out. The kids also really enjoyed the quest to find staff members from all over the world. All the restaurants were excellent, rooms clean and the pool and beach were well maintained and lots of fun. "

Cobalt Coast Resort
10/10 Excellent
"Loved the private location - you Defs need a ca if you are goin to stay at this hotel. But it was well worth it. We loved our mornings and evenings down by the water. Happy hours up at Nova and daytimes at 7 mile beach. "
