From the time we arrived to the (very sad) moment we left we felt pampered and relaxed. The staff all knew our names and greeted us warmly. We were here for a wedding and the attention to detail was outstanding. The decorations, food and service was beautifully memorable. Our burre was intimate and so comfortable. The bed was comfy, the linens very high quality and the amenities were very nice. We loved the activities too. Snorkeling was magical. Don’t hesitate to visit.

Snorkelling off the beach is excellent, and there are plenty more options to book tours via the resort. Highly recommend the trip to Modriki - it includes inner reef snorkelling, the sandbar as well as the movie-famous island, we had an excellent day. The island is beautiful and the accommodation is very nice. We stayed in a South Beach Bure which was a gorgeous location but there were a few days that were so windy on that side of the island we couldn't sit comfortably out front of our room. The food at Water Edge restaurant was disappointing, but the other food venues are very good (although we didn't get to fine at restaurant 1808). The staff are very friendly - Dave at the pool bar is a legend, go see him for special cocktails like Pink Lips and mocktails like Tropical Ginger Spritz and Blackwater (kids loved his drinks and his warmth!). Simon and Ziggy were great guides on our tours.

Absolutely Beautiful Staff that make Castaway so very special & their happiness is contagious. We were there last as a young family & this trip back with them as adults, their partners & grandchildren, it still has its magic affect, no one wanted to go home & definitely all will be back .

Castaway Island was an absolutely wonderful place to stay for 7 nights with 2 kids (8 & 5yo). It was so incredibly relaxed, beautiful & fun. The staff somehow remembered our names which was amazing. I thought it was a Fijian thing, but at the next (fancier) resort we were reduced to madam & sir. Nothing was too much for the team. Once they even climbed a tree to cut a coconut for us. The resort is spectacularly located on the water on two sides; so if it’s windy on one side the other side will be calm. When we ate meals with the kids, we could relax to finish our coffee or drink while they played on the sand next to us. There’s so much to do - kids club, pools, beach, snorkelling, water adventure park, kayaking, paddle boarding, day trips, crab races, frog races, kids & Fijian performances - it was exhausting, in a good way. The other guests are generally very relaxed and friendly too. A perfect day was beach in the morning; pool for lunch; then kids club for the afternoon & evening. We appreciated the warmth, welcome & playfulness of the staff including Maria, Peni, Siteri, Saena, Alisi, Solomon, Dr Sili, Ima, Una, Mickey, Snow White, Maui, Peter Pan, Zac & Zan and the many many other wonderful team members whose names I can’t recall right now. Vinaka Castaway!!

We loved the privacy of our bungalow. It really felt like we were alone. The staff went out of their way to make sure that those with children were grouped together. So that everyone could have a good time. The staff were very warm and welcoming. The property was beautiful and the snorkeling was exceptional.
