The staff was super friendly and respectful. I had a problem with my excursion, which the staff assisted me with. I still missed my excursion but that was my fault. The neighborhood was full of restaurants, bars, nightclubs and a friendly atmosphere. An unforgettable experience.

It’s an old hotel, and some staff could be friendlier but for the price this was a great deal. Room cleaners did an awesome job, rooftop is beautiful and very friendly staff there and at the restaurant. The building is very old and there is a slight whiff of mold and dampness. But hey, for the price it was fabulous, and hot water in the shower which is not a guarantee in some of the fanciest hotels in Cartagena. The bed very comfortable! And small, but smart tv, which was a nice touch. The location is unbelievable!

Pros: Location was great. It got loud at night with the party buses and events, but we didn't mind. Overall clean and good AC/fan in the rooms. Cons: Hotel is outdated. Great for if you're just looking for a place to sleep. Construction next door. Breakfast was mediocre. Pool did not look swimmable which was a huge disappointment. It had an odd colour dust (presumably from all the construction). **Side note: I was travelling with my husband and 1year old baby.

Excellent location - walking distance to all attractions, restaurants and stores. We had a room facing the restaurant so it’s nice and quiet. The facilities are very basic but adequate for a short stay.

Location of superb, we got a nice room with a view/ however we were here on a Friday night and there was a bad playing on the roof well almost till 2am. They need to assign rooms smartly so we would be disturbed by the noise.

This hotel is perfectly located, the staff is friendly and helpful. However there is a huge construction project happening all around the property. As well the pool was not open for the duration of our stay and we were not notified beforehand. I would call ahead to check if that was a selling point for your visit and make sure it will be available or if you can get a room where there is not a full blown construction site outside your window. Once the construction is completed this hotel will be the ultimate gem.

My wife and I spent three days there and we loved it. It’s very romantic and makes you feel nostalgic. We really liked that it was across from the walled city so you had access to great shopping and restaurants. It’s also close in front of the clock tower which is where the island tour guides pick you up. Also close to the bay in case you wanted to take a yacht. The building is old so some of the exterior aesthetics need to be updated. However, inside is well taken care of. The only issue was that we were placed on the fourth floor and the elevator only goes up three floors. Not a deal breaker for us.
