Yes good selection from Bar however some staff need to smile a bit often i feel they are there on sufference. My room was excellent however cold due to heaters on timers. Windows where absolutely filthy. On a positive note, front facing reception staff where excellent particularly Charlotte

We were looking for a castle stay in Britain as kind of a "bucket list" item. The Melville isn't exactly a "castle," more of a retired/repurposed palace, but the overall experience was what we were looking for - suits of armor, antique paintings and so on. Macdonald Cardrona Hotel, Golf & Spa
Lovely view over the course from the room. Pool, steam room and sauna all excellent. Bar service very good. We only ate for breakfast and could not fault it

The Hotel is an apartment hotel, they have a WhatsApp but they communicate via email so it is super inconvenient. I suggest they communicate via WhatsApp it is more efficient. First Lasswade Road House
Property is dated and the bare minimal was provide in terms of amenities (such as no basic seasoning (no salt or black pepper). One garbage bag to last 4 days for 8 guests.
