"Lovely mansion and towers the staff are amazing cart wait to go back"

"Booked through Expedia to turn up at the hotel to find out my room had been “cancelled” although I’d had confirmation from Expedia to say it hasn’t. Had to then re book the room through the hotel direct for a more expensive price. Sounds like a bit of a con. Hotel is a 3 star so don’t expect the world, basics. Worst part about the hotel were the staff and the shower pressure was almost nonexistent. Great if you want extreme basics in a hotel somewhere to sleep and that’s it. Otherwise look...

"The whole experience was wonderful! My only draw was that with such a beautiful old property, that obviously wont have central air, they didnt provide a fan in the room. We kept the window open the entire time as it was unseasonably warm which resulted in some bug bites. A fan would've been lovely to combat the bugs and provide a bit of relief. "I absolutely loved staying here and my 11 & 12 Yr olds were excited as well. My daughter literally didn't want to leave. The room was clean, smelled clean and lots of towels. Brilliant staff, very helpful and friendly. Free WiFi is definitely a bonus. And parking is reduced by half compared to parking on roads. We enjoyed having our breakfast at the hotel and I especially had three cups of plain lemon tea, which was Amazing. 100% recommended."

"This is a treat for our anniversary and this place is unique in its own way. We arrived prior to check in time and left our luggage at the reception and enjoyed our glass of champagne. We were given tickets to visit the Royal Yacht Britannia which we enjoyed very much. As the Fingal is part of the business of the Britannia, Fingal gives a feeling of Royalty in an modernised Britannia. "Really nice clean hotel that is central to everything. Nice spacious rooms with excellent AC. Close to lots of pubs and steps from Victoria street. While the street was hustle and bustle outside it was quite inside the room. We couldn’t have asked for a better spot in Edinburgh. Would absolutely stay here again and would highly recommend to others. If traveling by trains…we did walk here from the train station (and it’s very doable), but heads up, it’s a lot of steps and hills!"
