"Stayed in rm 21. Good bits: Bed was comfortable, hotel pleasantly quirky (as you'd expect from an older (historic) property. Bathroom clean, bedding high quality. Staff were really nice. Polite without being overly friendly. Service speed in hotel and restaurant was spot on. Check in and out was easy. Hotel is right in the middle of the town and convenient for many other attractions. "The place smelled really bad. There was clearly an attempt to cover it up with various air freshness but it was quite unpleasant. It was also really loud. We could hear the doors closing, people going up and down the stairs and even showers and footsteps and conversations from other rooms. Would not recommend. "

"Just home from a overnight stay here. 4 double rooms was booked and couldn't of been happier. Was greatest by a very friendly girl who explained everything we needed to know. We unpacked and got changed after a long day motorcycling. Headed down for food which was outstanding complete with desert. After we went into the bar for a few games of pool and drinks. All the staff and locals was super friendly. The rooms complete with tea/coffee facilities freeview tv double bed shower over bath. 👌...

"Room was in decent condition but being on the front of the building was quite noisy especially with the bells ringing every 15 minutes. Would have been nice if there was actually a member of staff around on check out as the whole bar and kitchen were just left wide open for anyone to help themselves to whatever they wanted"
