Heaven on Earth

Majini is a very relaxing place on Constantia Hills in an upperclass living area. The poolhouse is in a huge green garden nett to the pool and a small lake with 10 ducks in it. The interior of the poolhouse is very tastefull and very well equiped. Even in the kitchenette you find everything you may use during your stay. It is selfcatering, but as the frige was alreday filled we did not have to rush to the nett shopping center for food. Suzy our host is a lovely lady who did everything to made our stay as confortable as possible. Friendly staff cleaned the house every day and even washed our laundry. THANK YOU SUZY for this wonderful place you shared with us!

Tranquil, Spacious, Comfortable, and Scenic

The Majini House is the perfect combination of spacious and cozy, country cottage and modern. Inside The Gallery you will find a living room containing two sofas, one chair, and a flat screen TV. Directly off the living room is an open kitchen to your right and a living room decorated with beautiful pictures of South Africa to your left. All of the furniture is comfortable; especially the bed, which has an electric blanket on each side for those unpredictable cool evenings. Outside you will find a patio that looks onto a beautiful large backyard, filled with plants, a small pond, and a swimming pool. The Majini House is located in a quiet neighborhood, near the Tokai Forest, that is about a ten minute drive (give or take on traffic) from the must-see areas in Cape Town, such as The V & A Waterfront and Table Mountain. It is close enough to the main attractions that this wonderful city has to offer, but is far enough way to enjoy a good night's sleep without the noises of downtown. Suzy, the owner and hostess, was incredibly kind and gracious. She provided me with essentials in the refrigerator and cupboards, gave me access to what I call "the book" (a binder that contains information, names, and numbers covering everything from where to find a great restaurant to eye doctors for those travelers who perhaps experienced a mishap with their glasses), and made me feel very welcome.
