"Absolutely fantastic hotel, we stayed 2 nights in the newly opened Chapel rooms - the rooms are spacious, has beautiful decor and aircon. We had dinner at both restaurants and the service was very friendly. The Meerendal Hotel is definitely worth a visit."

"Fantastic location and the staff are welcoming and helpful. Amber on reception was incredibly helpful. The room was magnificent and large with a veranda and incredible view. The bed was comfortable and the resort very quiet. Dinner at the restaurant was delicious. Seeing the resident springbok and other wild animals that live and roam in the area was such a treat too. Would definitely recommend the Lodge and will stay again."

"We absolutely loved our time here! For comparison, earlier we stopped over for one night in Cape Town during our trip and stayed at a supposed luxury hotel directly on the V&A Waterfront. It was awful. We were so glad we had booked a different hotel (The Taj) when we returned to Cape Town the second time, for our final leg of our South Africa trip, a 3 night stay before returning home. Upon entering we already knew it was so much better than the last hotel. Even without comparing, The Taj...

"Great location close to the V&A waterfront. A shuttle bus and a canal boat shuttle is available to take you the short distance to the waterfront. Excellent food and incredible staff. Really enjoyed our stay - definitely our favourite so far in the Marriott BONVOY chain. The only suggestion I have is an airport shuttle would be a nice addition. Thank you,"
