"I arrived just before midnight after a nightmare day and flights from hell and was so pleased to find my room was still available. Absolutely wonderful staff and a cosy, comfortable bed. I was shattered I couldn't have driven any further and still look back and appreciate what the receptionist and manager did for me. Above and beyond, 5 stars. Thank you"

"Very pleasant staff.Spacious clean, comfortable room,good WiFi,good tv. comfy bed, an ample,comfortable sofa and lovely bathroom with good quality towels.Large walk in shower with ample hot water and flow. Ample parking right outside the hotel with no extra charge to use. A Morrisons right next door which also had a filling station and 24 hour small shop. The communal area had tv. screens so you could enjoy sports etc. and the self service buffet breakfast was good but the range of food apart from this was dire and having had a Caesar salad with chicken for my evening meal on one occasion I decided to stick with eating a cheap sandwich from the garage. The salad leaves were swamped with the overbearing sauce. The kitchen service was also very slow when one considers the type of food being available. The food issue would deter me from staying there again if I wished to book for more than one night."

"Magnificent grounds, the approach on driving towards the Hall is stunning. It's a beautiful historic building with a very pleasant bar with lovely outdoor seating overlooking the grounds open until 10pm. Staff were polite, friendly and attentive. The breakfast was amazing. Lovely full cooked options and lots of fresh fruit with greek yoghurt and pastries etc .. The room and ensuite bathroom was simple but very pleasant and the bed comfortable. There was a slightly musty smell in the room, possibly just the age of the property or the bathroom plumbing, but probably not helped by very hot weather. But it didn't bother us too much and overall we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return."

"Fantastic. Spacious, quiet, everything is there except for breakfast or food. I would recommend 100% there must be an option for food but I didn’t see this time. I stayed in the heatwave, very warm in the room but there was a fan. I loved the nature around there and the path way from the gate to the building. So pretty"
