"This was most probably one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. We knew as soon as we saw the outside it was going to be grim!!!. The reception guy was nice enough. Firstly he went to put us in a room on the 3rd floor. When i told him i was disabled he moved us to the 2nd floor. Luckily he got the lift working. But what he didnt mention was thst to actually get to the room ypu need to go up 2 flights of stairs. When we finally got to the room the corridor carpet was filthy. Once we entered the room, the room itself was ok. I was too frightened to look at the matress as there was no protecters but after a 9 hour drive all we wanted was a good nights sleep. I then opened the bathroom door and the stench was unbearable id never smelt anything like it. We opened the window wgich did very little.. my friend who suffers from sinus problems was up most of the night with terrible sinuses. I had to spray purfume on my pillow to overcome the smell. Whem we awoke the following day exhausted with headaches as during the night the fire alarms went off twice. We looked at online reviews and read that the smell was septic gas. We were horrified to read that it can actually kill you so we considered ourselfs very lucky . Outside parking reads reserved but we parked for free . We also sneaked 2 dogs in No breakfast facilities or onsite restaurant. Overall Newquay has seriouslly declined so wont be visiting again. Hotel needs to be condemed as its a death trap Do not go"

"I am extremely disappointed with the service provided. I booked a queen bed with a sea view through Expedia and paid an additional amount for this upgrade. However, upon arrival, I was allocated a room with a double bed instead. After noticing the discrepancy, I contacted Expedia, who confirmed that my booking was indeed for a queen bed. I then went to reception to have the issue resolved. Despite this confirmation, the front desk staff maintained that the bed type was only available upon request and chose not to address the issue. As this was a long-planned holiday for my husband and me, I did not wish to escalate the situation further at the time. However, the experience has left me very disappointed. I would also like to raise a serious concern regarding how this matter was handled. I felt that I was treated unfairly, and the interaction left me questioning whether I was treated differently based on my race. This is a matter I do not take lightly and would appreciate it being reviewed carefully. Overall, I am dissatisfied with the service received and would not recommend this property. I would appreciate your prompt response to this matter."

"Stayed for two nights over the bank-holiday weekend. Our room was fairly small, but had a great sea view, and we were lucky enough to have a private balcony. The room was basic, but clean and comfortable. The shower was good, and we weren't disturbed by other guests. Breakfast included a good range of both hot and cold options, although on the hotel was very busy on the weekend we stayed and I think they were struggling to keep up. The dining room was spacious and had great views. We were lucky and managed to get a free parking space right outside the hotel. There is a car park just over the road if not, however it does get very busy. The hotel is within walking distance of the town centre and the beaches. I would happily stay here again."

"Room was beautifully decorated sofa was so comfy . Amazing attentive staff so helpull and informative. Especially the lady on reception in the swimming pool . Food was excellent. We had a wonderful stay thank you 😊 "

"We had a very disappointing stay at this hotel and have yet to hear back from a Manager regarding the numerous complaints we had with the service experienced. To begin with, I will note the positives: Clean room Friendly staff Beautiful views Now the negatives: Upon checking into our room at 7pm (following a telephone conversation had earlier in the morning regarding our children and dog joining us) we discovered that the extra beds were not in our room ready for our children to sleep on. The next morning I reported to reception about being awoken early due to water pipes rumbling to which I was told nobody had mentioned about before. No offer to move. Having ordered Lunch, our one childs meal was left off the order and he was left waiting. For evening Dinner, we were informed the hotel were short staffed and so could not offer the pizzas advertised on their website. This made things difficult for us having had lunch there earlier and our children having to choose from the same menu. Drinks arrived late, so we turned them away when they eventually arrived thinking that we would go elsewhere for dinner. This was on a Sunday, on my Birthday, and we had little choice but to stay as locally not much was open/and only serving roast dinners. We ordered dinner, to find that our puddings were now missed off and so we had to chase. Throughout the staff were friendly, but not very professional or offering a good service. My 2 separate complaints fell on deaf ears it would seem."

"Was not a good hotel really. Thought we’d stop Off rather than drive home. Was dated yes staff friendly on the desk. Went up to room looked like someone left drop turd on floor at end of the bed. I walked straight back out and handed keys back. I’d rather do The 150 miles than stay in that room. Some people say it’s nice, that’s ok if you drink. We don’t drink really fair enough on the piss it’s doable. If ya sober I’d say it’s not so great. The turd mark on the floor put me off fully I took the drive option. Make sure you get insurance staying here, just in case you want a refund. 👍 "
