The property needs upgrades, beds are not comfortable and the breakfast was the worst we had in our 12 days in Portugal. Good thing they are some great cafes and restaurant nearby. The property does offer a hot spring pool and spa service that was A . It made our stay overall good. The staff were very friendly expecialy at the taverna

El entorno es maravilloso. Junto al rio y el sendero del parque te lleva a una casacada alta y preciosa. El pueblo es muy bonito hay poca distancia con las playas de Rias Baixas.

Sitio perfecto si vas a Caldas de Reis
El hotel es perfecto si hace el Camino de Santiago o si quieres estar en un entorno estupendo. La habitación que me dieron era nueva, muy bonita pero tal vez un poco pequeña y sin ventilación en el baño.

Lovely place and pool
We love to stay here and enjoy the nice surroundings by the pool and the hot thermal water. We were given a room in the annex which is absolutely ok, but we like to stay in the hotel and was given a room facing the river. The floor however was very dirty, normally everything is okay as we have stayed here many times. And will do again.

Magnífico lugar!!!
Una estancia tranquila. Las instalaciones un poco dejadas pero el lugar tiene un encanto especial. La piscina y el spa buenísimas, totalmente terapéutico!! El personal amable y resolutivo. Lo único es que nuestra habitación tenía un armario pero estaba cerrado con llave. Por lo demas, vistas magníficas y con una paz!!!!

Balneario con poco que ofrecer
Estancia bien pero un poco decepcionados la limpieza mal ,cuatro días sin cambiar toallas ni albornoz instalaciones poco cuidadas Desayuno no está mal pero ni un triste croisan ni una magdalena,solo un poco de bizcocho todos los días el mismo sin variar, Lo único que merece la pena empleados situación y piscina

Hotel correcto. El desayuno buffet correcto. Hay una piscina exterior de agua climatizada que sienta muy bien despues de las excursiones. Muy cercs hay restaurantes para cenar.

De lo más recomendable en Caldas.
El personal es muy amable y servicial. Las instalaciones son algo antiguas pero cómodas y suficientes para sentirse bien durante toda la estancia. La ubicación es buenísima y el entorno bonito. La piscina termal exterior es muy resultona y ofrecen masajes por precios muy llevaderos. La relación calidad-precio muy aceptable (y el desayuno está incluido siempre).

Las habitaciones tienen mobiliario actual aunque los colchones no tanto. El edificio es muy bonito. La piscina exterior tiene agua termal caliente y se está muy bien en ella. Es destino está bien.

No está mal pero hay aspectos mejorables. La limpieza podría mejorarse y los detalles también. No me pareció normal que por un modico precio pueda entrar público sin estar alojados en el balneario. Por eso la piacina estaba llena, poco relajante.

Camino De Santiago con mi hijo
Una maravilla al final de una dura jornada . Habitación completa incluyendo el albornoz para hacer uso de sus instalaciones . La piscina a 35 grados increíble y relajarte , además nos gratificaron con una hora en la piscina de chorros. El desayuno un poco poblé pero también nos lo encontramos con el precio incluido así que suficiente. Repetiremos seguro

A poor experience
tired, no carpet, no heating till 20:00 despite being soaked to the skin, no tea/coffee facility in the room which was in an annex away from the main hotel, heavy metal furniture on tiled floor ensured that all guests could hear each other moving about - this hotel probably benefits from there being a lack of quality alternatives in the centre.

This was a nice surprice on thr Camino .There is a spa and a hotspring that feeds a pool which was great for the soar muscles. The room was nice and clean and it had a large bathroom with a great shower. A good place to stop and a beautiful town to spend some time by the river.

OTTIMO SOGGIORNO
L'hotel si trova sul Cammino Portoghese e l'abbiamo scelto per la presenza della piscina termale. La scelta si è rivelata ottima, dopo una lunga tappa a piedi arrivare e tuffarsi nell'acqua calda termale per un lungo bagno ristoratore e rigenerante ci voleva proprio. La piscina è grande immersa in un bel giardino con alberi e pergolati che offrono ombra e frescura a chi non vuole stare al sole, presenti lettini e sedie, bagnino e bar. Le camere assegnate si trovano nel giardino con vista piscina e a pochi passi da questa. Sono molto spaziose, pure il bagno, arredate in modo semplice ma completo con sedie, tavoli e poltrone. Presenti teli e accappatoi per la piscina. Le abbiamo trovate pulite e fresche nonostante non ci sia l'aria condizionata (ci siamo stati in agosto). Nella tariffa è compresa la colazione, che era alle ore 8.00 ma dovendo partire presto la mattina dopo, ci hanno preparato una breakfast bag completa. Grazie. Alla reception abbiamo trovato delle persone straordinarie, sorridenti, preparate, competenti, disponibili. Bravi! Che dire, siamo stati bene.

Helpful staff
The hotel was everything we expected and more. The staff could not be more helpful, courteous and polite. The room was clean , spacious and very comfortable. The soa pool was very relaxing and welcome after a hrad days camino walk.

Leuk hotel, maar vergane glorie
Wat vroeger een prachtig hotel, met warm bronnen was, is na een renovatie met plastic kozijnen slechts een lege huls. Bussen met bejaarden vullen nu de eetzaal en de prachtige hal. Voor een normale tourist of pelgrim is het prima vanwege het prachtige 30 graden zwembad, maar vermijd het eten en ga naar de overkant van de brug waar een prima restaurant met vriendelijk personeel is. De kamers zonder airco lijken me in de zomer niet prettig.

Pampered and well fed!
While cycling the Portuguese Camino, we stayed one night. We LOVED Balneario Acuna!! The room was large; the spa pampered us! Breakfast was wonderful. We were within easy walking distance of several restaurants and shops. Although we didn't try their thermal soaking pool, many other "peregrinos" raved about it. I'd definitely stay again ...and again ...and again!!

Get away of this hotel
Miserable accommodation. We were sent to the "bungalows" which looked like a bad private room in a hostel Next day we wants to leave early e.g. About 07:15 (is this really early???? Don't think so...) and we had to order the day before a "pick nick" bag and the the right to have one (only one) cup of coffee!!! AVOID THIS IF YOU CAN

A nice place to take a break
Stayed over two days while walking the Camino. All staff were very friendly and helpful, particularly Migel at the front desk. I would stay there again without hesitation.

Nice and beautiful place with thermal baths yubii
Great place to stay, right on the camino. Thermal baths both inside and a big thermal bath/swimming pool outside with 35 degrees warm water, nice surrounding with sunbeds, area where you can sit outside to eat and drink nice food from the bar with service. Restaurant inside with view to the river, where they also serve breakfast. We have stayed here before in the rooms next to the pool. This time we stayed in the hotel where you have the view to the river. The only little negative things was the floor needed a cleaning, it was dirty.

Excellent stop on the Camino
Very friendly welcome. Excellent room in one of the poolside bungalows. Spa on site. Worth trying "Camino revive treatment" if walking the portuguese Camino. Beautiful setting by the river. Good value for money. Dinner in hotel restaurant was not the best one we had on Camino but overall a really nice place to stay.
