The hostel and services are very well organized, the staff is very friendly, it is a big hostel and therefore many people uses the premises and sometimes there are issues, overall it is a good place to stay if you want to save a lot of money while in Cairns

I've only stayed 2 nights but so far the staff has been friendly and helpful. Beds are comfortable and the bath is clean. Free service transportation. It wasn't loud and not quiet, perfect if you want a good night's sleep but also want to socialize.

Absolutely great for the money!

Friendly staffs, lots of facilities like bikes, cutlery sets, shuttle bus to the city, towels, and etc provided for free! Especially great for the backpackers :) One drawback is that since the kitchen is located outside, it is not maintained super clean but it was okay too! Not very close to the city but the shuttle runs every 30 mins and the botanic garden, which I really loved, was around so I liked the location too

I was overcharged by $124 and refunded $119.80. The bed was hard and showers were cold. I booked a dorm room for 27 a nigjt on Wotif but because of my age being 53, i had to pay 140 a night for a single room that looked like a prison cell. The tables to eat and drink at were never cleaned by staff, the kitchen was dirty and grounds were unkept. The pool was dirty, you wouldnt swim in it. The staff were more concerned about themselves than the customers, eating in front of them, talking with each other while people were waiting to be served. Terrible and i would not recommend it at all.

L'ostello piu bello che abbia mai visto. Le persone che lo frequentano sono come famiglia, personale gentilissimo e disponibile. Posizione strategica sia per aeroporto che per il centro. Navetta gratutita tutto il giorno per andare e tornare dal centro.

Good place to stay

Lovely swimming pool and bar, room was clean, big kitchen but no cutlery or plates - you had to hire them. As I was only there one night and had a teaspoon with me I had to eat my food out of the pot !!! Very large and busy but very friendly place

You get what you pay for! I was in a room with 3 other girls. Beds were alright but when I went to the bathroom, I saw a massive cockroach run out. It’s not super clean but manageable. I was only there for one night and booked it because of how close it was to the airport. When I was checking out in the morning, no one was at the desk and I had to wait around 5-10 mins for someone to show up. Overall, I’d give this place a 2.5 star!

Stayed for 1 night, staff were efficient and helpful, the hostel was clean and lively with a great outdoor pool and bar area. The 24hr reception was very useful as I left at 3am and staff were super helpful!

Good atmosphere but needs renovation and cleaning.

Stayed twice during our holiday in Cairns. Both times we had 2 double rooms. The bathrooms were not very clean in either of the rooms we had. The bed was very very very hard and we had to ask for the airconditioning to be turned on. This was something no one told us upon arrival so first night was very hot and humid as we thought the aircon was broken. Overall a nice atmosphhere but the hotel is run down and does not feel very clean. Wanted to borrow bikes but most of them were broken, had flat tires etc but despite that they were in the bike rack.

Great place even for people over 30

A great place with all activities possible! We are a couple in our mid-thirties but never felt too old for this youth hostel. Staff & guests are friendly and everyone is easygoing. Free brekkie, free bike hire, free shuttle +++

Near to airport and quiet in night for a good sleep. No airport free shuttle and small kitchen with over loaded fridges. I dont know why They need passport for check inn even you are Australian residents instead of driver license.
