We had a great stay. The area is very quiet. There's a great cafe restaurant directly across the street and the patio of the cafe faces the sea. Every Saturday there's live music from 3-6pm. The bus runs runs right in front of the complex so it's easy to get to Smithfield mall in less than 15 minutes on the 120 bus or Cairns Central Shopping Center where you can find groceries at Coles or Woolworths. We really liked the apartment. The sofa and bed were very comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We would love to stay again.

Beach across the street from the property is really nice but does not have chairs or umbrellas for rent so you'll need to bring your own. Also plan on bringing your own beach towels.

Holloways Beach short stay

2 Day R&R stay en route to Brisbane is in an ideal location for the beautiful beach, great pool at the property. Our apartment was spotlessly clean although the 3 flights of stairs with our luggage was a bit of a pain. Easy late check in and Ruby the next day at the desk was super helpful. WiFi was awful but they are upgrading it and some smells from other people’s cooking but no real complaints. A 10am check out was a bit too early for us compared to other properties like this we use.

While property was close to waterfront, there was not really much to see or do at Holloways Beach, compared to more northern beaches. Central to many ‘sights’ if i you have you our own car.

The place was beautiful as it had an amazing garden which had a plethora of plant life that added to the peaceful atmosphere. The pool was clean and well maintained. The beach was opposite the property which was convenient. The room furnishing was old and the bathroom could use an upgrade. We stayed in the premium garden facing room. But overall it was a good stay.

The pool area was lovely. Our unit was quite dated and musty. Very limited supplies (two towels, 1 tea towel, etc). Ruby and Josh were very nice and tried their best.

Clean, comfortable accommodation. Good bed. Reasonably equipped kitchenette - microwave kettle and stove top , no oven, plenty of utensils. Easy parking. Friendly helpful staff who ensured we got adjacent lower level units to suit older guest. Just across road from beach, so good location if that’s what you want. Didn’t use pool but it looked lovely. Would stay again if I needed to be in this location.

Good location, right on beach. Unfortunately very noisy with trucks loaded with rocks coming past every 10 mins due to beach erosion work. Should calm down once job complete. Unit could do with a freshen up. No oven or d/w but rest of kichen ok. Management very good.

Property was clean and quiet overlooking the pool. Kitchen was well stocked with all facilities needed except an oven. King size bed was like sleeping on the floor but I guess that would be the case as we are used to sleeping on a waterbed.

Floors were bit sticky. Property is way far from main area in Cairns. Try to find something closer to downtown even if you have a car. No front desk service after 5:00p.m. Best part about the property is a privacy. You have a bedroom. And a sofa couch in main room area along with kitchen. Just one bathroom. So not at all a bed choice if you are a family of 4 and needs more space as long as you are ok to drive.

This is a nice propery but as it is in a sleepy neighbourhood of Holloway Beach that it isn't serviced by busses often (hourly) and many excursion (or airport shuttles) don't pick up / drop off there. If you don't have a car, you will have to rely on Uber/ taxi. The beach is across the street and is very nice, and the property has a nice pool. The unit we stayed at had a newly renovated bathroom and the unit itself is comfy and spacious, but it is otherwise a little on the older side and has room for improvement in cleaning (eg sticky cupboards / drawers).

Overnight stop

We were only there for a quick place to crash before transferring to another hotel near our final destination so we probablyvreally only spent about 12 hours there in total but it was very nice and comfortable with everything you would need for a small family or two couples. Had a beautiful large spanning balcony with seating and a a table as well with views down to the nearby beach. The pool area was welcoming and the gardens throughout were gorgeous! Not much tobdo around within walking distance other than a liquor store and Code which was avery delicious restaurant and bar about 2 blocks away. The guidebook for guests was a little alarming as they stated many things about havong a safe travel making it appear that the area wasnt safe at night. However we walked around and didnt understand the reasoning behing it. Overall it was perfect and i wish we had more time to spend there.

Was nice. Gardens are beautiful. 8 day stay and their housekeeping says you get mid week housekeeping if stay longer than 7 days. There was no housekeeping. Same towels for 8 days. Washing machine but you had to buy your own powder. Make sure you have your own body wash and shampoo as you only get enough for 2 days. Toilet paper also limited. No mop only mop bucket. Very out of date tiny tv. Worst of all, the wifi is rubbish. It was like going back in time. Continual disconnections. Had to use my phone as a hot spot most of the time for streaming. Not up to 2023 standard at all.

Enjoyable but basic

We enjoyed our stay here. As we had a longer stay and from interstate would have been good if when they did the refresh they replenished the Tea and Coffee etc. Also wifi was always dropping out and I used a lot of my data on my phone to watch Netflix, etc.
