"Staff was nice but didn’t care to help. Check in was ok- I asked if we could check in early and the lady was rude. We got to the room and it has 2 towels and a floor mat. Not even a hand towel. Floor needed to be cleaned. Could have used a blow dryer. No fridge or microwave in the room. The lobby closes and is not manned 24/7. Rooms were not quiet. Could hear families and cars. This came up as a hotel not a hostel. This is a hostel."

"The staff are very helpful and nice, as well as the accommodation. 100% come back and recommend my friend. The only thing is, for someone who doesn’t like noisy place, it may be too much noise as this building is middle of the city and shower room is placed in the room. Anyway they provide complimentary earplugs."

"I really enjoyed my stay at the Espy! I’d just finished up a long study abroad program that was mainly camping so I had a ton of gear to carry around with me. Luckily they let me drop my bags off before check-in and keep them there after check-out before I left to the airport. I got a private room and it was probably the best deal in cairns!
