Only disappointment was on check out we asked the history of the castle and were told by a very disinterested staff member to "look it up online"! "Had an easy, friendly check in, Views from reception were amazing. Had booked a balcony sea view room which was located down a flight of stairs. Room was large with seating and table. Bathroom a bit dated and noisy plumbing but shower over the bath was good. Nice big concrete balcony with lovely view over Portpatrick. Breakfast was delicious and all staff were nice and friendly. Would definitely stay again."

We would stay again if we had to, as we couldn't find a place to stay in the actual town of Stranraer the Inn is located in Portpatrick). It was adequate for the price. We ate somewhere else, but the restaurant seemed busy. It was also pretty quiet for a pub/restaurant in the summer, which we appreciated."
