"The accommodation is tired and needs updating. The rooms are very basic and were not very clean. The bathroom needs to be completely refurbished. The staff were helpful and pleasant but overall not a pleasant stay and would not recommend staying there"

"What a beautiful property so perfect in every aspect, breakfast at the Eskimo Arms Inn across the street was great. Location was amazing just park the car and everything including the castle is at your door step. Our only mistake was only booking one night!"

"Joyless service at breakfast. No menu. Very basic - nothing fresh - no fruit, yoghurt, tomato, mushrooms… Had to ask for toast and marmalade as none was offered. Disappointing. When we were asked was everything okay we mentioned two lights weren’t working in the room and we had trouble turning off the cold tap - they were defensive and dismissive saying ‘there’s nothing wrong with the tap’!"

"Location is great. Hote Is basic as reflected in price as well as reviews. Restaurant at hotel was terribly understaffed - only one chef. Took an hour and 20 mins for food to arrive. Secondly, there was no daily cleaning or towel change and was not mentioned clearly."

"This B&B is a lovely place to stay, nice and close to the local walks and wildlife and not too far from the nearest town. The owner is very friendly and accommodating, allowing me to bring in takeaways for tea and eating them in the dining room. On my last day I was leaving early so I let her know and she very kindly got up early and cooked me breakfast which was very nice and unexpected. I would definitely stay there again if the opportunity arises."

"Quiet room though we were on the ground floor and had no view. Staff very friendly and helpful. Dinner and breakfast were fine; the best onion bhajis of my life so they are THOROUGHLY recommended. We went in the sauna and the outdoor hot tub- that was amazing. All in all, a good stay and I would definitely return."

"I was in room 16. Room 16 is next to the boiler room so it got hot. It was also occasionally noisy from the pipes. The staff were friendly and the food (breakfast and dinner) was decent. The views were brilliant."
