The bed was old not fit for purpose. The hotel was like an old folks home tired and badly appointed. They started breakfast at 8am because I had appointments locally from 8am had to skip breakfast. The vast majority of hotels I stay at breakfast starts at 7am. When I questioned why I had been given an accessible room the lady told me I was lucky to get a big bathroom completely missing my point. You would be better off booking a B&B locally. Sorry...

"the property had been recently renovated and this had been done to a high standard. It was very comfortable. Our only criticisms were the size of the shower cubicle - a large person would have had great difficulty using this facility, it was so small! Also, there is a large pane of clear glass in the outer door which anyone could look through and see inside the property."

"I will never stay at a one of these properties again. The room was fine but the staff at reception was rude and unhelpful. It was booked prepaid with Hotels.com to which they said it was not prepaid even after showing the receipt to her. We chose to have diner there as we were tired. At least 1/3 of the tables were covered in dirty dishes. We eventually were able to flag a server down to give our order for food and drinks. Food arrived which was actually well done but never got our drinks even...

"has everything you need for a short stay. Bedrooms and bathrooms are quite tiny and wardrobe space is limited. No problem if you are out and about most of the time but staying in might be a bit crammed. There is a small outdoor area to sit in - if you like talking to the neighbours as all chalets are close together."

I did not receive the wifi information until 5 days into my stay. This was after leaving messages on owners voicemail. They never got back to me at all. Had to go through a customer complaints procedure with Sykes cottages to get the wifi details. No apology, just an email with a picture of the router (which wasn’t in the flat)....
