"Excellent communication from host & easy check in with key lock. Room was spacious & comfortable for our family of 4. The only negative was that we hadn’t realised that bathroom would be downstairs, which resulted in the kids being a bit anxious about going on their own, as it’s a shared house and they weren’t comfortable wandering around the house on their own with strangers. Not a problem for the adults, but the kids weren’t comfortable. "

"The property itself was spotless. I didn't see a speck of dust. It is obviously cleaned pretty much daily. The bathroom was spotless and the shower was good. The kitchen was clean and had everything you needed. I would add some baking trays and oven gloves but apart from that it was great! The bedroom was clean and tidy. "Another good visit and stay at The Swan Hotel in Stafford. Very clean and comfortable. Good parking. Great location. Two minor niggles. 1). No complimentary bottle of water. 2). No shelf in shower in which to put shampoo and soap bottles. Pleased when I popped in a day after my two day visit had ended to inquire about an Apple plug and cable I’d mislaid. Staff had found it in my room and kept it back in case the owner (me in this instance) returned to ask about it."

"The hotel is ideally located to enjoy the best of Buxton. It is beautifully decorated, with a real sense of luxury. Our room was spotless and the bed very comfy. Staff were helpful and polite. My only disappointment was the breakfast service and in all truth this was completely unacceptable. It was apparent that the kitchen and service was heavily understaffed, which impacted upon the cleanliness, insufficient stocks on the buffet service and delays serving food. Most people had a 45min delay for hot breakfast, and this resulted in us and a number of other guests requesting refunds. The serving staff were very apologetic and just looked worn out and embarrassed."
