"great staff"

"amazing resort, amazing staff (the nicest i’ve ever encountered) great amenities. i loved my stay here, would definitely come back to another riu in zanzibar in the future!"

"Where do I even begin?! 😍✨ THE STAFF – Absolutely AMAZING! ❤️ Honestly, some of the friendliest, warmest and most welcoming people we have ever encountered! Every single one of them made our stay extra special. A big shout-out to Robin at the Front Desk for making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Gasper and Miraji, our Go-Kart champions, thank you for the endless rides and all the fun around the compound! Selemani and Andrea from Sports & Beach kept us entertained throughout...

"Incredible location, resort, staff and food. I stayed here for 10 nights and it was perfect. The rooms are spacious with a tasteful interior equipped with air conditioning. The villas are situated in a garden with paths, overlooking the ocean on a small cliff. The staff is attentive and eager to provide excellent service. As a solo female traveler I felt very comfortable, safe and well taken care of. I highly recommend!!"

"Worst hotel experience in my 75 years! We booked four rooms at Kendwa Rocks through Expedia: two pool bungalows and two deluxe rooms. My son emailed requesting adjoining rooms and a crib for his one-year-old. The hotel cheerfully confirmed both requests in writing. After a full day of travel, we arrived to find our reservation not honored. The pool bungalows had been given to other guests, my son’s family had neither adjoining rooms nor a crib, and my wife and I lost our pool bungalow. The...

"Hotel is nice and clean and good staff. What isn't advertised is that the beach isn't swimmable. The nicest part of this hotel is the beautiful turquoise water, and it looks stunning while you're sitting in the sky pool. Unfortunately, it's heavily infested with sea urchins. We did the coral reef walking during low tide and saw hundreds! We understand obviously coral reefs are out of the hotel's control but we wish there was advertisment that this issue is there as the only way we could step...

"It was a great property"

"A very average 3-star hotel. The floor is tiled. The water in the bathroom runs through a tankless heater, causing the temperature to fluctuate wildly. The shower head is adjusted so that the infrequent streams are too powerful. There's practically no space to put your razor, etc. A plus is the presence of a safe. The breakfasts are very meager. The evening barbecue party also has tiny portions, but the price is low."

"Location on Kendwa beach was the best! Beautiful swimming, restaurant with beach view and stunning sunsets right from your beach chair. You can walk to other restaurants and the beach was safe for walking. Patrols also ensured beach merchants did not get too close. Wifi was spotty at times. Room was comfortable, though sometimes AC would go out due to spotty electricity issues which is all over zanzibar so not the property. A wonderful and easy stay after safari!"

"Lovely room and the view was phenomenal. Check in says till 11pm but make sure you let them know in advance (we had) but it was clear they were due to go home when we arrived after 10. Food at restaurant was great, and staff very helpful. We dived with the sister hotel and had a great experience. We contacted them ourselves as hotel suggested getting shuttle bus to book but they were responsive via WhatsApp and this was easier."

"Überwältigende Essensauswahl, toller Strand & Ausblick, sehr freundliches Personal"

"Camera nuova e molto pulita. Ampi spazi interni e bagno molto bello. Personale gentile ed efficente, buono il ristorante e bella anche la spiaggia, con un ampio spazio di sdraio sia a bordo piscina che oltre. Assolutamente consigliato"

"We loved our stay here! It is such a beautiful place and every staff member is so welcoming. The pools are all great and there of plenty of rest areas. The restaurant is delicious. We also appreciated the excursions organized by the staff. Highly recommend, we would absolutely come back. "

"Hotel is of very high quality, excellent staff service with very good restaurant and bar facilities. Staff were very welcoming and extremely courteous. Hakuna Matata!!"
