"Fantastic boutique hotel with amazing views and charm"

"We had a lovely stay at Vila Alpina. The room was clean and spacious the bed was comfy and there was plenty of parking. The communal outdoor space was really nice. The Vila is a short walk to the lake and the nearest restaurants, and about a 25 minute walk round to the larger town centre. The man on reception was extremely friendly and helpful, giving us lots of great recommendations for restaurants and things to do."

"Great location- walkable to Mostnica Gorge and waterfall as well as Bohinj Lake. The staff were friendly and helpful; the food in the restaurant was tasty. Only complaint is the WiFi was patchy in the room."

"The surrounding area is very beautiful and the hotel looks very nice inside and outside. Bohinj is a lot nicer than Bled. Our room was a decent size. However, it was let down by a lack of practicality. E.g, there’s insufficient wardrobe and drawer space for two guests. There’s nowhere to open and store your luggage. In the bathroom, there aren’t any shelves or places to put your toiletries and no hooks to hang towels. They don’t have proper air conditioning, so I expect it gets extremely hot...

"The owner was lovely, as were rest of the staff. We had a warm welcome and a tour of our room prior to check-in. The Superior room was incredible. Really nicely furnished, clean, plenty of complimentary amenities. We had an amazing meal in the evening - one of the nicest we've had in Slovenia, followed by an equally enjoyable breakfast. The stay was not cheap but certainly worth the price, especially as the B&B is such a short walk from Lake Bled. Parking right in front of the accomodation is...

"Two nights using the hotel as a base to visit Nova Gorica and Bled. Breakfast buffet was extensive - continental choices plus scrambled eggs and British sausage. Room was spacious and bed was very comfortable. The dining room staff sometimes does double duty at registration desk. Lots of tourist information. Bus stop is a 5 minute walk and train station is a couple of minutes longer."

"Nous avons passé 2 belles nuits dans cet appartement. Il est bien situé pour faire le chemin historique de Kobarid. Décoration épurée et moderne. Agréable d'avoir accès à une cuisinette. Appartement lumineux avec ses puits de lumière. Possible de relaxer dans le bain à remous après une longue journée de marche (ou vélo). Je recommande."

"1 nuit dans cet hébergement était ok. Nous avons eu de la difficulté à trouver l'endroit et comprendre comment fonctonnait le stationnement. Pas évident de monter ses grosses valises à travers des escaliers encombrés. La chambre était propre mais assez petite et pas d'endroit pour déposer les valises. Le petit déjeuner était bon. Personnel attentionné. Décoration surchargée (bon niveau)."

We are a family of 4 with two teen girls and although the apartment slept 6, one thing to note is there is only one bedroom and the king and double bed are both in there. "The apartment itself was excellent: very clean, spacious, and well laid out. The kitchen was well equipped for basic meals, with essentials like washing-up liquid, sponge, cloth, tea towel, plus tea, coffee, salt, and pepper provided. Unfortunately, the customer service did not match the quality of the accommodation. We arrived mid-afternoon to find reception unattended and never found staff there despite returning several times before it closed at 8pm. There were people in the staff area, but...

"Parking right next to the hotel (for a fee). We loved the location and ability to easily walk into town. The room was clean and had what we needed. Three negatives: (1) the walls are VERY thin; we could hear our neighbors talking fairly clearly from the hallway and in our room, (2) the shower is very small and was leaking over the floor and (3) there is no elevator so we had to carry our bags up the stairs, but the staff did offer to help! "An oasis of tranquility and authentic Alpine architecture in a very busy touristy town. Super great owners and staff, spotless clean, short easy walk to town and the lake, quiet and peaceful. If you like the typical modern, minimalist, ugly hotel, don't book here, it's the opposite! Homey, comfortable, relaxed. Great base to explore the natural beauty. Don't miss the short side trip to Triglav National Park and Lake Bohinj for postcard views and maybe less crowds than Bled."
