"The Hotel has been recently renovated and the rooms and common areas are clean and very attractive. The staff was very nice and helpful. They even offer a excellent hot soup at the lobby for guests in the afternoon, different each day. Coming from the cold outside and tired from driving and visiting Acadia, it was most welcomed. In summary, we had a great stay and I would come back to Black Beard the next time I visit Acadia."

"We travel with a wheelchair. This property was helpful accommodating us to have a hassle free, accessible stay. Just ask for a ground floor room as they have no elevator. The property could use a bit of a refresh, but the accessible room was clean and decently sized."

"My husband and I stayed at the Bucksport on our way through to Bar Harbor and it was such a nice stay. We really enjoyed our stay. The bed was very comfortable. The room was very clean and it was so quaint. We even had a deer family visit us while we were sitting outside by the fire. Will definitely stay again."
