"When I arrived at the property, I couldn't get into the building because I had received no checkin instructions. I saw a few message asking me to pay for a damage deposit in my Expedia inbox. But I didn't get any advanced notification in my gmail inbox until on the checkin afternoon. Because I was travelling, I couldn't have seen these messages until I arrived at the property. The message was very cryptic. It wasn't immediately clear what I needed to do. Another hotel guest kindly explained...

"This property functions like a guest house with a welcoming gal: cozy bedroom-like room; reminiscent of a big English home. And the windows actually open! Unlike traditional hotels where an open window is unheard of! Convenient stroll to the English Channel and beach. It was a sweet spot."

"The hotel is fantastic. Perfect beachfront location, really lovely decor. We upgraded and our room had air con and a balcony and was lovely and quiet. If I had one issue with the room it was that the shower - which was huge so promised great things! - was a bit feeble and not that hot. It was a shame because the rooms were decorated to a really high standard as was the bathroom. Also if you have a big car (I don’t) be mindful that the garage space for parking is TINY and will require some expert...

"Overall I enjoyed the stay. Very comfy bed and linens, big windows with a great ocean view. Took a couple baths in the big tub. It's in a very old building so you have to appreciate the character but I do and it's well appointed."
