"My stay at the Laguna Hotel was extremely disappointing. The hotel is outdated and badly in need of renovation. The beds were old and very uncomfortable, and the noise levels were unacceptable, making it almost impossible to get a proper night’s sleep. "It’s closer to the beach. However the property smells of smoke. It has outdated furniture, carpet and its not clean. Rooms are not ventilated. We were there in summer at 24c and it felt like 40c in the room. I won’t recommend this hotel for family stay. It’s cheap for a reason and good for someone looking for 1 night stay after full day at the beach."

"The staff were exceptionally helpful. The food was excellent. The Lodge itself where you stay needs some tlc on the outside, although the rooms themselves were good and well maintained, if a little dated. The stairs down to the room where I was weren't that great and the entrance to the steps was blocked by a car, so had to squeeze by. A great place. The golf looked good and the swimming pool was excellent although the stairs down were very slippery."
