"We stayed for 5 nights. We moved from a standard room at the front corner of the hotel as it was noisy and claustrophobic. The en suite having been built into the corner of the room , so all the other stuff ie chairs table wardrobe were squeezed in. The poolside suite which we were kindly moved to was new, spacious had air con and walk in shower ,……. stunning altogether! Such a difference ! Could not fault it !!! "Beautiful country hotel, small and personal service, delightful comfortable en-suite rooms, warm inviting pool - often to ourselves, incredible top class gourmet food - formal dining and bar food served in the warm and cosy bar area or the relaxing lounge. So much choice at breakfast, all delicious, everything you could want. Can’t wait to go back in summer to enjoy the open terrace overlooking the pond. A real joy to stay here."

"The staff are invariably cheerful, helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was excellent. Bed was very comfortable, and bathroom facilities good. Housekeeping was inconsistent, and the room was very dusty in the corners; the public areas were also not sparkling clean, but overall the hotel was just what we needed, and location was perfect for us. Great views of the pond and wildlife at breakfast! We will definitely stay again in future."
