Bonsaicho Packages (Flight + Hotel)

We had 2 adjacent rooms with a divider that can open or close so it worked out for us because we get 4 beds and 2 bathrooms for our family of 4 with 2 young kids. Location is pretty central with about 10-15 minutes walk to shopping area and train station. Area is close enough to dining options and of course multiple Family Mart, 7-11, and Lawson along the way. Rooms are clean and quiet.

The hotel location is ideal for taking the subway around Tokyo, with an entrance across the street. There is a nice park along the river with cherry trees and a playground only a couple blocks away. The breakfast was very good with no wait early in the morning. The combo washer/dryer in the laundry room does not dry clothes within the default washing/drying time (2.5 hours), so be prepared to add more time (no idea how much is needed) or hang clothes all over your room. There are a lot of clothes hangers provided, which I suspect might be for that intended purpose. We booked two rooms with a king bed each for our family of 4, with kids aged 10 and 7 each bed sharing with one parent (we often do this at home too, so pretty normal for us), and it was great. The beds are firm, which we like. The rooms benefit from luggage fitting under the bed.

Location is great, and the staff was very accommodating

There are plenty of 5 star hotels to choose from in Tokyo but we were glad we chose this one for our first trip to Japan. The room was comfortable and blended Japanese and Western styles and was serviced thoroughly every day. We made good use of the club lounge for breakfasts, snacks and drinks in the evening and had dinner one time in each of Origami and the teppanyaki section of Suiren, the fine dining restaurant. Each time the food was excellent and well-presented. What really stood out for us though was the staff. Each and every one was unfailingly polite, welcoming and helpful, with good English. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Tokyo next time we come.

We did not have any breakfast in the hotel.
