"Everything about the place was fantastic. I am only bummed that I never got to use the hot tub. I am Autistic so it is difficult to relax in large crowds, hot tub was always busy with children (yikes), but it'sso difficult. Not the hotels fault, loved my room and the location. It was just Memorial weekend and we'll obviously more busy. You try your best to get time off without it costing you too much. Anyways, loved the hotel, it was a great sensory room.😊🖖"
"Was in town for a convention at the Convention Center which was only about a 1/2 mile / 10-15 minute walk away. Chipotle across the street was a lifesaver. Near the Balboa Theater if you’re in town to see a play/ show. Lots of restaurants in the Gaslight District. Petco Park next to Convention Center. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Room very clean. Bed comfortable. Short bus ride for $2.50 to the airport should you choose to bypass Uber or a taxi. Only gripe I had was the TV in the room didn’t work properly and I needed maintenance to fix it each night. Otherwise, no complaints."
"The stove was unplugged and we had to call someone in to get it fixed. The light switches didn’t work for the two lamps on the wall. We appreciate the immediate help we’ve received. Otherwise we were able to enjoy the stay and everything else provided."
"Overall, we are satisfied. Front desk workers were polite and helpful and I can not understand why in other reviews there were a lot of negative comments. Parking was pricey, 55$ per night. We stayed 2 nights. There was an iron and a desk, as well as a coffee machine with coffee tablets provided, but only for one day. There were also tea packets, but you couldn’t make tea because there wasn’t a teapot.
One thing I can’t understand is why hotels don't include parking and resort service fees, maybe to seem cheaper than other hotels at first glance to attract visitors."
"The room smelled a bit musty and the sheets had stains on them.
The fitness area was pretty small with old equipment. The only cardio machines were an elliptical and a bike that were both pretty old and not of real good quality. The fitness center is used by people who have boats at the marina which made it pretty busy most of the time. The small size makes it feel crowded even with only 3 people in there.
The pool and hot tub are small but adequate. Parking is limited with the spots being too small for anything larger than a small crossover without obstructing adjacent spots."
"We stayed at the Omni San Diego for a work conference and couldn’t have been happier with our experience. The location is excellent—right next to the convention center and incredibly easy to access. One of the highlights was attending a Padres game and being able to use the hotel’s direct access to the ballpark, which made getting in and out effortless while avoiding the crowds.
After long days at the conference, the pool was a perfect place to relax and unwind. We also enjoyed the food and drinks at the hotel’s restaurants, which exceeded our expectations. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and we will definitely choose the Omni San Diego again on future trips."
