10/10 Excellent

"The hotel itself is stunning, clean and comfortable. We loved our room - #413 - and were happy that we did not meet any ghosties in the halls, library, or our room. We felt very pampered during our 2 night stay. We ate breakfast at the hotel both mornings - our cook and server were different both times, and all were great, but especially on Monday! We had the omelet breakfast both visits and it was really good, and plenty of food. Hopefully we will repeat our stay this year, possibly in late October. "

"The Lafayette Hotel is in a historic building. The furniture and artwork is reminiscent of an establishment at the turn of the century. It was clean, relatively quiet, and had the amenities that I needed. Don't stay there if you want modern, new, and bright. The staff was friendly and helpful. It's a great location to walk to the farmer's market, multiple establishments, and the College."

"The property was under construction, so things were bound to be notbas good during that time. The staff was great, and everything was clean. We even got into the pool which was huge & very nice! It was in a good spot for us to go to everything we needed. We only had an issue with the heat & air noise they made all the time. I'm sure that is going to be fixed during the construction currently happening. We would definitely stay here again. "

"Did not live up to our expectations from the reviews. There was no fresh fruit other than apples at the breakfast buffet. We were there for three nights and our room was never cleaned once. We also were supplied with two bath towels and one hand towel and never got clean towels or sheets. I found that very unacceptable for the price. Also, the furnishings in the breakfast area were very dingy to the point that you wouldn’t want to sit on the chairs."
