Beautiful location, close to a lovely hot spring spa with a 10% discount with staying here, historic building. Downside was the bright lights outside the window without blackout shades made it difficult to sleep.

So cute. Love that I could walk to Laugarvatn Fontana (there's a discount if you say you are staying at the guesthouse), had a beautiful view of the lake, and the restaurant Was pretty good. Really enjoyed my stay here.

This was the only "hostel" we stayed at while in Iceland but we did have a private room. The view was beautiful, everything was clean and the staff was amazing. We ate dinner there (not many other options nearby) and were pleasantly surprised! Definitely would recommend if you're in the area!

Great stay

We had a very nice stay here. Staff were friendly and helpful. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. the bed was comfortable. Tasty breakfast with plenty of choices. It was a short stroll down the hill to the Fontana geothermal baths.

Great stay at cozy hotel

Nice historic place very close to allot of tourist attractions. The hotel is an old school. It looks beautiful and the people working there was very nice. The shared space is very cozy and the room was an OK size. The breakfast could be better but the dinner was good.

Relaxed and casual

Very relaxed casual atmosphere. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel and enjoyed them both. Nice blackout blinds in the room. Very close to the Fontana spa which is very convenient.
