Historic hotel with lots of character, but also filled with modern comforts and amenities. Staff were welcoming and friendly, room was nicely decorated, cosy, warm and comfortable. This hotel is a little dated in some areas, as others have pointed out... but overall its lovely... a big old mansion-style building... The reception is staffed 24/7 and the problems we reported were dealt with efficiently... The spa area (which cost us £20pp to use for our 3 nights stay) is well ...

Couldn’t wish for anything more for a one night stay. The room was clean, bed was comfortable. The young staff were efficient and friendly. The food was of a good standard. Would stay again.

It was a great location for my family to visit my Mum in Salisbury hospital. Really easy to find and owner/ manager was very helpful with directions and organising our parking before we checked in. Basically a lovely town and setting but disappointingly run down and in need of a good clean-up!

We visited the museum and it was hugely interesting - packed with artefacts - well worth a visit.
Lovely area, very picturesque. A real gem, definitely recommend.
