"Amazing stay at Enchanted manor, from the moment we walked in the vibes were warm and friendly. The food and drinks were delicious and the red squirrels and badger feeding in the evenings was an amazing experience. Could not recommend this place more. "

"We made an independent booking with an agent. We were not aware that this hotel caters predominantly for coach parties. There were around 200+ coach party guests and only a handful of individual bookings. Our bedroom, on the third floor, was spacious but had no chest of drawers to unpack clothes into. The room and bathroom were clean, but very old fashioned. There were just two electric sockets which were used for the tv and kettle. No other sockets. Rooms were serviced at irregular intervals....

"After a long day of emptying a property, we were looking forward to getting to our room and winding down for the night. Upon arrival into the room, it was like an oven opening up the door. It was 30-degree heat outside, and not one window had been left open to help ventilate or keep the room cool. We had to open our main door to try and let some air enter the room as it was absolutely unbearable to stay in there. Then it was time for a shower. "Staff were friendly and welcoming on arrival and lovely to speak to throughout our short stay. The hotel is immaculately kept and tastefully furnished. Our room was spacious (family room with a queen bed and bunk beds for our 2 children was a dream for them) and had great amenities. Bathroom was clean and basic toiletries were supplied along with shaving and dental kits. Enjoyed our short stay and would highly recommned."

"Room was much bigger than expected (possibly an upgrade) and seemed to have been recently renovated. Spotlessly clean and comfortable bed. Breakfast was included although my invoice stated room only. Apparently all rooms here include breakfast which was very good. Highlight really was the friendliness of staff which is probably because it’s an independent property and they genuinely want to make guests feel welcome. "

"I would strongly reconsider staying here based on my experience. There were multiple issues from start to finish, beginning with poor communication around key facilities. The spa was closed, which was not made clear when booking through a third-party site, and this significantly impacted the stay. Check-in was disorganised and extremely slow, given there were so few people checking in. The room key failed multiple times and had to be reprogrammed more than once, which is not what you expect on...

"Kind of okay, but some of the staff were really bothered if you need anything or ask them a question. At the pub the staff were a bit weird and made us feel not welcomed. Most of them looked very tense and wanted you to get out of their faces quickly. Some of them were good. They should leave more milk bags in the rooms."
