This was overall a good pick for Big Bear. The room and beds were comfortable, service was friendly, loved the live music in the Tiffany restaurant bar, and liked the location and adjacent walking path. We were lucky to have a room overlooking the back/pool. The meh: The bathroom needed a fix-up (damaged tub, for one), none of the updated electrical outlets would hold a USB charger, and the jacuzzi, which did have great jets, turned out to be a tepid tub (it had just been repaired, so maybe it was on its way to hot).

The hotel is in a very convenient location and appears to have once been a very nice property. However, it now feels tired and could benefit from a refresh throughout the facility and guest rooms. The staff was very nice and helpful, which was a definite plus. The Wi-Fi was problematic, making streaming movies challenging. The room itself was average, but the heating and air conditioning system was loud and cycled on and off throughout the evening, which was disruptive. Breakfast was a typical hotel breakfast. I don't understand the $20-per-day parking fee, especially since parking isn’t an issue. It felt like just another avenue to generate additional revenue.
