The hotel looks great, clean, tidy and a lot of character. Food excellent, breakfast and dinner, staff friendly and helpful.
V good value and would definetely recommend
The Swallow Falls Inn looked like a new establishment, my room was very clean, the staff were professional, polite and very helpful, the breakfast was very fast in coming and tasty.
If I can give some critique, you need bigger room number signs as I went the wrong way twice and ended up asking a member of staff who pointed out where the room signs were and admitted that they need to be bigger.
Very quiet and comfortable beds.
Nice breakfast.. I ordered a coffee as wanted a latte that wasnt included. It was no trouble and made at the bar.. delicious.
The hotel is very clean with nice toiletries and tastefully decorated throughout.
Staff were frieny and helpful
The hotel needs more staff, average 15-20 minute wait at the bar for service. 15 minute wait at reception to book in, only 1 person able to book in guests and she was busy serving in the dining room. The staff employed are great but cannot cope with the volume of guests in such a large hotel.
The bar and dining area were extremely hot but in the toilets, corridors and especially the room (115) it was very cold. Single small radiator in room set to max didnt warm up, had to put the towel rail on in the bathroom to add a little extra heat.
The food is basic but well cooked and warm, unfortunately they had run out of approx 30% of the menu options on a Saturday night.

Location was great across Swallow Falls and have ample of parking. Will just need to validate your car with reception if staying over.
Highly recommend and will stay again if we are back in the area
Couldnt sleep as there was a constant drone all night, and the service and facilities for breakfast was very poor

the car park surface was very poor and as both my wife and I are in our 70s it was difficult to walk on
the room was excellant but because the room was part off an old building the room was very cold the windows where left wide open
Very uncomfortable hotel and poor value for money. We've got a standard, not cosy, double room. It was close to what the hotel posted on their page, but the location and the dimensions were all different.
First, the vast majority of the rooms are not in the pub building itself. We were in an adjacent building that looks like a temporary lodging for actors during a movie shoot - a soulless concrete building with a badge reader on the door. That's still better than the rest of the rooms that were behind the pub - it was pretty much an american motel with 2 stories of rooms. Very far from the "inn" vibes.
Now, the room. It was effectively underground, with two tiny rooms and the view of the garbage boxes. The windows were just big enough to push the head through. So, as you can imagine, no natural light.
The ceiling is barely 2.5 meters high, in some places I could touch it with my elbow. The bathroom is designed by someone who clearly never sits down. You can fit the knees only sitting sideways.
Overall, I would never stay here again. I understand if the place was 50 quid, but for the asking price it's absolutely not worth it.
Fab hotel loction great waterfall literally across the road, room was nice and big and warm felt comfortable, the beds are so comfy, breakfast is delicious and there food is top notch them chefs are fab, thankyou for stay will be back staff are fab 👌
