"Used it for a 1 night stay during travelling. Nice with a cold dip in the pool. Breakfast was ok with a fair selection. Reception offers to make frozen pizzas in their pizza oven, the result is amazingly good and just what we needed after a day of travelling on the road. "

"I knew it would be “basic” when I booked the “hostel”, but I wanted to stay near Combe Laval for the views. Service was slow and the breakfast was non-existent. We decided only to have coffee in the morning, but the veg dinner option was, surprisingly, excellent and the best thing one can say about the stay."

"Good location, in village, but roads are quite tricky if you are on a heavy motorbike. Only got chance to test out the breakfast, which was fine and the late arrival process worked fine."

"The concept is novel and well executed. We were staying as part of a cycling tour down the Via Rhona, for which the location is perfect, with bespoke secure bike storage. The town is beautiful with lots of great restaurants, but I suggest you book ahead of time as they all get busy. The one big challenge we had was checking in. "It was a vey old place and the rooms looked very old and broken and used. But it was only for a cheap quick stay for the night so didn’t expect anything more than that actually.
