"Having an actual onsen bath on the balcony in our room was 100% an absolute treat.
Otherwise, the rooms were very stylish and well appointed and we liked the futon style bed. It’s quite a quiet hotel and about an £8 taxi ride out of town but, we had no issues getting a taxi and actually the mud bath was only a short taxi ride away. If you were looking for somewhere peaceful with beautiful views over the bay then this is the place for you. As with many Japanese hotels, the staff spoke limited English and there was nothing that using Google translate couldn’t handle. Recommended."
"The room was clean, with the exception that the blinds in the bathroom had some mold on it. But otherwise, it was a great room with couch and a comfortable bed. The bath was great! Toilet was up to standard. Rooftop pool was a nice 30.1C. The jacuzzi was broken at the time, but the sauna on the roof was nice, too."
"The interior had a nice cozy feel and it was a bonus to listen to a live pianist perform in the lobby area. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful even when I had a difficult situation with my luggage that they resolved with compassion. The kaiseki was amazing and our private bath was very relaxing. It was nice to be next to the sea for the breeze while soaking in the bath. The price was very affordable for the service they provide. I highly recommend this place and I will definitely visit again next time I come back to Beppu. "
