Breakfast was amazing, cleanliness was excellent, rooms were sound proof and therefore very quiet. Staff was very friendly and willing to help us in anything we needed. Location was also great.
The new, spacious rooms are immaculately clean, and the friendly staff went above and beyond to help us. They changed our room without hesitation and even carried our luggage between rooms. Honestly, I think this is one of the best value-for-money hotels. It’s conveniently located near the subway, making it ideal for both business and leisure travellers.
Modern hotel as you expect in Beijing
Very helpful and friendly staff, helped to arrange trips. Good central location, close to all the great areas in Beijing and walking distance to Sanlitun Street.
.
Stayed for a week for work. Most convenient location, right next to a subway station. Absolutely comfortable bedding. Quiet and clean environment. Super helpful staff.
1. Swisotel: It's in a good location, right in front of Dongsi Shitiao subway (Line 2) exit C. Great staff. Clean rooms, nice showers, comfortable beds and pillows, and soundproofing. You cannot control the room temperature, but you can open the window, and the staff will bring a fan into the room. It offers a variety of breakfast options, though it’s expensive if you don't have a big appetite in the morning. The food was tasty but not warm enough. Nearby are McDonald's, KFC, a 7/11 across the street, and other restaurants. Also, there was a surprise birthday cake!
I enjoyed my stay and I will definitely book again at this time Swissotel.
I had an issue with my Schengen visa (they issued me a 24 hour visa instead of a 240 hour). I had a phone number to call and the staff at the desk were very helpful in contacting the border patrol at Schengen airport to correct the mistake. They even arranged for the new Visa sticker to be sent to the reception desk for me to pick up. A++++++ service!
The hotel breakfast was a feast in itself. What a treat to start my mornings.
Super helpful staff, friendly towards foreigners. Was assisted multiple times - directions, tour bookings, recommendations etc. Special thanks to Mr Spring Si and Mr Lang who helped me with arranging and booking a tour of the Great Wall, Tian An Men Square and Forbidden City Tour.
Location is great too - being right beside the metro, it was super convenient to get to shopping centres and the train station. This offered a great alternative (faster) to being stuck in the Beijing traffic.
Nice and clean room.
Overall, would highly recommend.
- Shower in my room not well designed. The lowest part of the shower was below the drain so if I have two showers between room cleaning you have to step into cold wet standing water which is a health and safety issue. The hotel must know this is an issue but still sells the room.
- inconsistent service. Sometimes I was left enough towels others I wasn’t. Sometimes room was dressed down in evening others it wasn’t.
- maid service wake you up early when most hotels I’ve stayed in know when a guest is in their room and leave them alone.
- swimming pool needs a cap to be worn. I was provided one but my brother was turned away.
- the staff are very efficient but in doing so seem a touch cold which is really unusual when I compare hotels across Asia where there is a blend of efficiency and warmth.
