I enjoyed my stay and recommend staying there. I decided to stay after taking the bus from Beijing to see the Great Wall on a tour. The next day - I could explore the wall and the small town on my own. The accommodation was nice and the family that runs the hotel/homestay was really friendly. I am a vegetarian and enjoyed generous portions of good food while I was there. I also organized a taxi back to Beijing after my two night stay with the owner. His father drove me to the train station in a really nice electric car - so 'taxi' doesn't really describe the high quality of the car and very pleasant drive. I recommend staying here.

This is a family owned hotel. They literally take care of everything. Laundry, Taxi, Beverages and the food they provide in house for every breakfast and dinner is made fresh in their kitchen and it’s amazing. I absolutely loved staying here! Ask to go on the rooftop deck for a mountain village view.

Arrived a little early and we're greeted by the family. We dropped our bags off and had a quick freshen up before the owner drove us up the hill to The Wall carpark. He offered to pick us up but a local brought us back in the back of his little truck. That evening we had a lovely meal, all freshly prepared for us before retiring for a good nights sleep. Breakfast was simple and nice - eggs and corn bread. The family are really lovely people and so helpful, the father took us back to Beijing and our next hotel in a very comfortable BMW.

This homestay was so amazing!! The host messaged me right after booking and assisted us in transportation to/from the airport, as well as tickets and transportation to the Great Wall for an extremely reasonable price. The couple was so sweet, made us feel extremely welcome in their beautiful home, and even cooked us a delicious dinner and breakfast. We only stayed one night, but wished we stayed longer. I would highly recommend this place for anyone wanting to visit the Great Wall!!

A great night’s stay

This is a family-friendly establishment. We were taken care of as though we were part of the owner’s family. Our kids played together, they dropped off and picked us up at mutianyu Great Wall and even provided complimentary dinner and breakfast. Definitely a highlight of our Beijing trip. The kids fell in love with the baby kittens they had. Super cute. Home-cooked food was excellent as well. Highly recommend this place.

Book this! This bed & breakfast was perfect for my trip to the Mutianyu section of The Great Wall! The family was so accommodating, directing my taxi driver to the location over the phone. I was dropped off and picked up at the gate without even having to ask. The food was plentiful and tasty, despite the fact that I got in late. This was a great experience!!

It was one of the best places I’ve ever been to, the hall family was amazing and they made me feel like a family member, even though there was a language barrier we understood each other. Everything was great! I recently had the pleasure of staying at Mutianyu GreatWall Wangshanyuan Homestay, and I can't recommend it highly enough! When Yang Feng Rui picked us up at PKX airport, we arrived at their hotel, and his mom served us a warm, tasty dinner. It was 10 p.m., but they made us feel welcomed and cared for. The spacious, beautifully decorated room was perfect for our family of four and provided a comfortable retreat after a long day of travel (coming from Tokyo). One of the standout features of our experience was the airport pick-up and drop-off service. He was punctual, professional, and friendly, making the transitions between the hotel and airport seamless. It alleviated a lot of the usual stress associated with traveling. Of course, this is optional, and you need to pay on top of the hotel booking, but I highly recommend it. They served us breakfast, and he took us to the Great Wall at 8 a.m., allowing us to enjoy this ancient marvel (with five other tourists, so it was still empty). We were back at the airport by 11 a.m. with enough time before our 1:45 p.m. flight.

Our stay here was absolutely perfect. From the moment we booked the owners were communicative and caring. We arranged for transport from Beijing and were greeted on time in a very nice car. Everything was made very easy for us. Arriving to the homestay we were upgraded for free to a larger room. The room itself was beautiful with all the essentials and a very comfy bed. Breakfast and Dinner were made by hand by the family and it was some of the best food we have experienced. From handmade dumplings to delicious breakfast and fresh fruit. She even packed us a lunch for one of our day trips to the Great Wall. The family went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and cared for. The hosts helped us organize which sections of the wall to see and gave us sound recommendations, once again ensuring everything was easy for us and that we were able to enjoy as much of the Great Wall as possible. I cannot say enough good things about our experience here. I would love to come back someday. It was the highlight of our trip.

Our family of 7 booked the room that had a large tatami-style bed for 5, and an adjoining small room with a double bed. The quality of bedding was surprisingly good, and everyone had a very good night's sleep. Space was a little cramped, but sufficient for bags to be placed on the floor. Outside the room, there is a shared common area, and my family sat on the sofas and chatted after dinner. We got all our meals cooked by the homestay owner, and while they were very delicious, we would have liked to have an option to walk out to explore different food options. However, there weren't many, if at all, options for street food which we could see. It wasn't a big deal, because the food cooked in-house was so tasty. The chef even asked us if we had preferences. The location is great, close enough to the Mutianyu section of the great wall to walk (around 1km i think) but on quite hilly terrain so you should factor that in if you're also planning to hike up the wall.

My son and I enjoyed a very pleasant two night stay at Wangshanyuan during our Great Wall hike in October. The room and property were both quite comfortable and clean and within walking distance of the main Mutianyu Great Wall entrance. The personal care and hospitality of the Yang family was excellent! We arrived very late due to our flight and I especially appreciated that Mrs. Yang stayed up to make sure there was a tasty hot meal waiting for us when we arrived. Her home cooking is very good Beijing food. Our host was also kind to inquire about our itinerary and offered various helpful tips, as well as transportation options to our next site.
