The hotel was well located for all the historical attractions of Beaune. It was elegantly appointed and we loved our room up on the top floor.

This is my new favourite hotel. The staff was incredibly helpful and engaging. Our room was beautiful and well appointed. The food at The Slanted door was delicious. Our experience there was 10 out of 10 and we can’t wait to be back.

Our stay was unique, comfortable and elegant. Staff was welcoming and did their best to make our stay special. The property is a newly renovated boutique hotel with approximately 16 beautiful rooms. It is in an historic building in the center of Beaune opposite the Hospices de Beaune Museum. You are within walking distance to dining, sightseeing, shopping and wine tastings at the prestigious Burgundy wine houses and tunnels. Close to all of the Cote de Beaune and Cotes de Nuits vineyards. The hotel is tastefully appointed and opened in 2024. The entire staff is professional , courteous and friendly. I would like to commend the Front Desk manager Benjamin and his entire staff for their warm welcome and attentive assistance to every detail and request. I would also commend the bar staff, Francois and Ryan. They were truly welcoming, friendly and professional. I wish we could have stayed longer in Beaune. Hopefully we will visit again and stay at the Maison 1896.

Beaune is a charming small village/town. Maison 1896 was amazing! They took care of unloading your luggage & parking your car for you. Charming bar/lounge area for an afternoon drink or pre dinner. Their restaurant 'The Slanted Door' had an excellent Asian menu and the food was so outstanding we ordered seconds of two of their main dishes. Rooms were well appointed, beds comfortable and bathrooms sparkled. We had a room with a little balcony that overlooked some of the shops and a church clock - delightful - great for early morning coffee. The rooms were quiet - front desk very accomodating and helpful. Any return trip we make to Beaune we will definitely stay at Maison 1896. We had 3 rooms booked for our party of four and our guests were just as pleased with the accomodations as we were. They deserve a 5 out of 5 star rating!

Beyond a doubt, this was the best boutique hotel we have ever stayed in. Beautiful decor with high quality fixtures and amenities. The staff were all lovely and extremely helpful. It really should be considered a 5 star hotel in every way possible. The breakfast was delicious with loads of choices for every dietery need. We were so disappointed that we were not able to spend more time in Beaune and this beautiful hotel. It will be a must visit during our next trip to France!!!!

Breakfast could have been better with more options or at least, given the very limited options, not charging for the eggs. That seemed a bit cheap to me given the nature of the hotel.
