The setting of this BnB is absolutely beautiful. Breakfast was perfect nothing fancy just exactly what you need, we specifically enjoyed the homemade rhubarb compote! The room was part of a converted barn and really cosy. The host was lovely.
Lovely location, amazing grounds and the room was excellent. Staff were very friendly and informative about the area.
The cooked breakfast was also fantastic, would love to stay again!
We thought the farm itself was beautiful with lovely garden. Our en-suite room was well appointed with everything we needed. Nicky looked after us well and fresh milk was supplied on request for drinks in our room.
If I could request one thing it would be sausages as part of the cooked breakfast.
We arrived at about 7pm on a Saturday evening and could find no one about except some German guests with limited English! However the position of the room was clearly indicated and the room key was in the door. The room and facilities were pleasingly quirky, clean and more than adequate. The next morning we went down to breakfast and met the staff and enjoyed a very good breakfast. My wife loved looking around the stable yard and seeing the horses.

Nice place, very friendly. A little out dated room that we stayed in and a little dusty.
A real bolt hole with character. A great atmosphere and a delicious breakfast. The only regret is that we could not have stayed longer.

Disliked: Cleanliness
Not happy
Unfortunately the cleanliness of the room was below parr. Dead flies all over floor in the bathroom and in the bedroom as well. Rug had alot of debris and definitely needing cleaning.
I arrived very late and was greeted, which was very nice. However there was no wifi password in room and it was lucky I had the tiniest bit of mobile reception to call otherwise I would have been without internet access for the night - not ideal on a business trip.
Left after the first night.
The soft furnishings were lovely and the room was clean. Not a fan of old furniture so found it a bit oppressive. The setting looked nice although we did not get time to explore as we checked out the next morning. The mattress was on a solid base which is not good for people with a problem back. I could not sleep because of the pain.My husband , who does not have back problems , also had aches. The private bathroom turned out to be shared with some other guests. The drinks tray was one sitting on a table on the landing. When I went to make a cup of tea, I discovered dirty cups and old teabags and empty milk portion containers. When we left the next morning the tray was in the same condition. We were requested to phone a half hour before arriving, when we did this we spoke to an answer phone. On arrival , nobody was there to greet us or give information. I never spoke to any from the house until breakfast . The staircase was , to me, very dangerous. It was steep with a partial bannister on one side with nothing on the side. The runners and rugs tended to wrinkle up .The danger of tripping was very obvious. Both my husband and another guest did trip over the carpet in the lounge.
I could go on but I think you will have realised how unhappy I felt.I have never left any B&B before after spending only one evening. We were not the only ones who were unhappy with the situation. I hope they give an honest review as they do influence whether you book a place or not. I am particularly co
Beautiful cob walled farmhouse. Breakfast served there, very good. Glorious garden. Bedroom very comfortable and lots of space in a converted barn. Lovely walks.
We received a fantastic welcome and we're provide with local information for places to eat and visit. We were encouraged to explore the farm and make ourselves at home in the garden.
The barn conversion was a wonderful place to stay. It had the perfect combination of rustic feel and modern conveniences. We loved the interior deco of the rooms. We have already booked to go back later in September.
Would have loved a week here. Comfy huge bed with in historic room. Huge soaking tub and great shower. Breakfast was the best part and served cuatom for each guest. Fresh eggs, fruit, homemade granola, toaster with jams, meats, teas, coffee and all around a huge table with great conversation. Best breakfast of a 5 country 2 week vacation. The hosts were very pleasant and location private in country and down a private lane. We loved it! We aren't horse owners but enjoyed the farm aspects all around. Very enjoyable!
A very welcoming and comfortable stay. Guests must remember this is an old working farm with ducks and chicken roaming around. Notwithstanding, the rooms were very tastefully decorated, the beds very comfortable and in our case the en-suite well laid out and modern. The breakfast room was very relaxing with a large round table, huge open fireplace and a well cooked breakfast!
We were made very welcome by the owner with a welcoming cup of tea and home made Brownie. For our evening meal we went to Appledore as recommended by the owner which was excellent. Farm fresh breakfast including freshly laid eggs and homemade bread was served at a large round table where you could get to know the other guests.
