The rooms are quite old but spacious, layout in chalet, acceptable for price we paid for. Have a number of choices of food nearby, lot of activities such as paint ball, mini golf, water playground, etc. My family enjoy the stay overall.

Really nice stay. Accommodation is perhaps dated by we like it. Interesting have 1 bedroom duplex with stairs. Staff all very helpful. Breakfast was very very good. It's resort so pretty much everything is available on site. Nothing in walking distance so need grab.

A Quiet Peaceful Stay

Everything from a retail outlet to several restaurants and a cafe with many activities to keep you busy in the property itself. Suitable for corporate events and family. The staffs are friendly, they try to keep the beach clean everyday. The water looks dirty, probably due to pollution by the ships. I wouldn't swim, but great for long beach walks.

It's a self contained resort. Rooms are big and clean. Plenty of activities, ie; water sports, archery, paintball, gym, pool tables, PS room...... There are 3 restaurants, convenient store and cafe for your daily needs. Good breakfast spread with ample seatings. The best thing is the service and friendly staff!

Nice family place!

Very good place for families with children. Many activities, games and fun things to do. Pool areas are very nice. The water park area can be very crowded however the other pool areas where not crowded at all. Several restaurants with ok food, good prices. Our room was spacious (two bedrooms) and had balconies (without furniture but anyway).

Our little short getaway with Lotus Desaru

The stay was pleasant. The staff was friendly. But I'm unsure if it was due to the festive season; the housekeeping missed cleaning our room the last day we were there. It was raining heavily those days, and we noticed water seeping from the walls. Otherwise, all is good. Value for money. I will still return again.

Good place for family as there are activities for all ages. However, housekeeping does not come in everyday. Cleanliness can be improved. One of the air con is not working and nothing was done after we informed the management.

Lots of activities to do there, nice swimming pools and plenty of food options. Unfortunately the lazy pool was closed. Food is convenient to eat but pricey. Complimentary breakfast has lots of food options but challenging to walk a far distance and a bit hot as it is outdoors. Walking to the beach is also a bit far compared to other hotels, about 200+ meters. Beach has convenient shower areas and toilets. Room has stairs which are challenging to walk up for expecting mothers. Outdoor elevator to the room sometimes does not work.

This property is extremely pathetic. Its zero star. Very dirty, outdated, bad room, bad evevator, horrible restaurants and looks like a temporary construction and we got food poisioning.. The new year celebrations was pathetic. When enquired, we got to know 11 more guests got food poisioning and local authotiries are investigating.

The ambience was good, things happening at the lobby area and yet quiet at the apartment area. The staffs were polite and attended to your requests fast. I can see updates of some of the furniture in the apartment. We are also very happy to have engaged the transport service by the concierge, friendly, punctual, safe and clean vehicle. Just a suggestion, although it is generally clean -from bed to floor and toilet, however a little more attention to the dust in the apartment will be good. Also, it is a little disappointing that some of the activities listed by the resort is no longer available.

Pls check the elevator for block J . lift does not seem to work right about 9pm onwards. Everything besides that is all great. Food at Teratai cafe , lotus spices , seafood reatirant all amazing. Price of food is also cheapest among all other hotel in Desaru. I can honestly say, we really enjoy the food. BREAKFAST ,for RM 30 a person is seriously worth it.. Splash park was okay but for the childrens area , i find the play slides is a bit to steep. Also if the hotel is not so crowded, it will be best if we can be placed to a lower floor . Just sharing honest opinion. Overall we really enjoyed our stay. PS : my son calls the Lotus Desaru Resort as the Princess Peach Castle , Mushroom Kingdom . If can have some mari theme room , it will be really great. Will visit again in the future . Cheers team lotus !

Review of family vacation at Lotus Resort Desaru

Good experience. The check in took longer than I liked but it's not too big a deal. The first lift was a bit confusing as we went to the wrong floor and had to take the stairs. Rooms were spacious and clean. Not the newest of conditions. Couple of aircons were not working perfectly. You had to manually open the louver as they remained shut even after turning the aircon on. Whenever my kids showered at the common bathroom, the water will flow out of the shower area and flood the floor of the bathroom, due to the odd placements of two gaps in the tiles. My eldest had to resort to blocking the gaps with her beach toys to stop the water from flowing out. Restaurants were nice. Food was good. Pricing was ok. Pretty much resort kinda pricing. Our family tried the seasports on our 3rd day there. Nice experience but felt a bit rushed by the crew. Perhaps they had to quickly turnover the equipments to cater for other guests. Overall, will I stay there again? Yes. Is it a place that I must visit again? No
