"This is a typical upscale Bangkok Hotel. Our issue was despite receiving a confirmation of the booking, and an email from Avani saying we are looking to having you and quotes THEIR booking confirmation number the reception.The receotion staff claimed for half an hour that there was no reservation and that Expedia had failed to forward it. In short they refused to honour the reservation, and their own confirmation email and booking number, for forty minutes. Not sure where you go with this when you can't rely on a confirmation from Expedia and from the property. Yes the building is nice and clean, but when one's trust in the process is erodedit is dispiriting after a very long journey. One hopes that a prepaid reservation would be respected in short order."
