"We had a 5 night stay at the Ballymascanlon and we had a great stay. Our room 230 was spacious and quiet, the facilities in the room were good and maybe a fridge would be the icing on the cake. In the hot weather we were provided with a fan. Plenty of tea and coffee facilities available, with 2 bottles of water left daily. A widescreen TV in the room with plenty of channels. "This is a great place to stay with a pub close by owned by the same family. The lodges are beautifully designed and well furnished. The main bedroom is very spacious with a generously sized bed; the bed settee was also used during our stay and made for a very comfortable night’s sleep. The host was very welcoming and friendly and we enjoyed visiting the pub whilst we were there. It’s an easy drive to either Newry (where we were visiting family) or Carlingford and the Greenway. "The Edwardian experience like no other! Excellent breakfast, cooked for you from the menu. Friendly, helpful staff. Clean room and hospitality tray. Room needed re wall papering and the shower was just warm enough but the water from the basin tap was very hot. Petrol station across the road with shop. Great pub across the road and walking distance to town. "

"Staff were welcoming and helpful. The room was clean. A good shower and bath. A safe, tea, coffee and biscuits, 2 hairdryers. Swimming pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, and out door heated jacuzzi, gym was free. Gardens , beautiful. I had a spa treatment and after the treatment I went into a resting room and they gave me a drink and fruit and sorbie"

"The part we stayed in was the cottage, which was a little bit rundown could do a good lick of paint but spotlessly clean the food in the staff were excellent but thought slightly overpriced for the accommodation itself however would go back there again but maybe not in that room"

"Nice hotel over the bar. There was live music the night we stayed but it wasn’t so loud that you couldn’t sleep. Lots of locals in the bar watching the band. Very enjoyable stay!"
