Fantastic stay at Four Seasons Carlingford. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Location excellent, Carlingford village a few steps away. Food was great. Rooms well serviced and clean. Easy parking.

Excellent hotel,service,friendly staff. Food first class. Room service exceptional. Only disappointing was we had an.issue on one night with young girls running up and down corridor which team ,security had to attend to as it was 1130pm. Apology received following morning and reduction in our bill . Would not prevent us returning to this hotel.

Don’t stay when weddings on

There was a wedding which made the noise levels unbearable. Would not recommend this hotel if there is a wedding on. I would not have came if I’d known this prior.

Hotel should not be 4 star. No air con, rooms too warm. Small fan provided but useless Breakfast variety poor. No refrigerator in the room. Not what I would expect for the high price.

POOR COMMUNICATION RE REDUCED HOURS AT SPA Me and my partner stayed in one of their signature rooms. We always go away just after Christmas for his birthday. We checked in and headed to the spa only to be told they had reduced hours due to the Christmas period. When I complained I was told they've had reduced hours for years over the Christmas period- this makes it worse and the reason for the 2 stars. If we'd been told that when we booked, or the day before when they called to confirm our booking, we would never had stayed. We always go away during this time and have never experienced this anywhere else. We like to stay in the spa late on my partners birthday and have dinner in the hotel and we weren't able to do that. Also you have to ring before you go to the spa to make sure its not crowded which tells me the spa is over-subscribed, just poor greed. I don't know what makes it a signature room, it was average with nothing standing out to make it 'signature'. The room looked tired. The breakfast is average, the sausage and bacon tasted like cheap meat. The hotel looks dated and dull with nothing memorable. If you are looking a run of the mill nothing fancy hotel with a pool then you won't be too disappointed. I was embarrassed I had taken my partner here for his birthday. I do not recommend this hotel.

Average hotel, room unbearably hot.

The hotel was in a good location. The service from staff was ok, nothing exceptional. Food was ok too, but a bit too expensive. The problem we had was the unbearable heat in the room. There was no air conditioning, the windows only open a sliver and the small plastic fan provided was completely inadequate. It was impossible to sleep in such uncomfortable heat. The weather outside wasn’t even that hot so I can’t imagine what the hotel would be like on a hot summer day. Our executive family room was at the back of the hotel overlooking the rubbish bins and staff car park which was also a disappointment. I wouldn’t rate the hotel as a four star.
