"We had a fabulous stay at The Grand. The hotel was clean and well maintained despite its size. Our double room was on the small side but comfortable, with a beautiful view of the water and contained everything we needed for our stay. Staff were pleasant, very helpful, and check in was a breeze. The location of the hotel was perfect, opposite the water, few minute walk to the marina, village, train station and castle. "The rooms are not air conditioned so sleeping was difficult. The only bedding was a duvet so you had to sleep with nothing covering you or you would bake under the duvet."

"Our stay at the Clayton was a very brief overnighter before an early flight. It served our needs very well. The room was spacious, the bathroom excellent, though we would have liked some conditioner. My only other quibble was that we ended up at the wrong Clayton Hotel as there are 2 - one just outside the Dublin Airport and one inside the area. Otherwise, very happy."

The earliest bus from the hotel to the airport is at 5pm, so that leaves very narrow window for bag dropin, security check, etc. if people have early flights. "It's a room for a night to facilitate airport travel, and nothing more. My room was dirty. The shower needs a new curtain that doesn't allow water to just seep through. I booked a shuttle to the airport, and it never came, so I quickly booked the next one. This made me late getting to the airport, and I had to sprint to make my flight, which I just barely made."

Rooms are well designed and comfortable, though the air conditioning unit in our room periodically made grinding sounds — seemed only when adjusting to new set temperature— and did not happen while sleeping at night. "The proximity to the beach was amazing! Check in was easy. The room was okay-poor. The bathroom was clean and great! Sheets and bed were great! Carpet had stains close to the patio doors. Also, lots of mold on the drapes and carpet and wall around the patio doors. Our room faced west and was ground floor. It was quite hot in the room so we had to open the patios doors but there was no screen or window to keep open through the night. Also, the hotel information books has conflicting...

"Appears clean. Feels a little under serviced even for a Travelodge. No amenities to speak of, no hair dryer in room. Bare minimum and small, thin towels. Cigarette smoke smell seems to come through the bathroom vent. Toilet barely flushes. I wouldn't stay again but Swords is a neat town. Price was way too high for what is offered, even for a tourist season Saturday night. Lesson learned."

"We stayed at Marie‘s prior to flying home the next day. There were three of us, so we had the family room with three twin beds and the private bathroom. The beds were very comfortable and the blackout blinds helped us sleep very well. The hosts could not have been kinder and more helpful. They insisted on carrying luggage for us and we had a lovely chat during breakfast. We highly recommend staying here."
