"This hotel has ruined me for all other hotels! This boutique hotel was a peak experience for our stay in Mexico City. It is located on a lovely, quiet street, only about a 10 minute walk to the historic city center sights of the Cathedral, the Zocalo, and Templo Mayor. The surrounding streets are pulsing with foot traffic and small shops. It is not tourist territory and it feels very safe, even as night falls. The hotel itself is gorgeous architecturally."

"Hotel de ciudad a una cuadra del zócalo , habitación pequeña pero muy cómoda . Incluye desayuno muy bueno y snack incluido 24 horas con algunas bebidas . El staff muy amable y atento en general . Limpieza impecable y la muchacha que limpia el piso 4 muy amable y atenta. Superó nuestras expectativas el hotel .10000 % recomendado "

"I reserved a room at Historico Central Hotel specifically to check in at 6 AM after a very early flight, just to get a couple hours of sleep before the 1 PM checkout time. We left the room at 1:08 PM. Before heading downstairs, we sat for a few minutes in the seating area by the elevator that each floor provides, where the hotel offers complimentary water. After finishing our water, we went directly to the front desk to check out. The front desk woman didn’t greet us at all. Instead, in a very rude and almost sinister tone, she immediately told us we would be charged an 800 MXN late fee because we were not physically at the front desk exactly at 1 PM. What made it worse was overhearing her do the exact same thing to another guest shortly after. It genuinely felt like she enjoyed penalizing guests. I understand hotels have checkout policies, but charging nearly 40% of the room rate because guests arrive to the lobby a few minutes late despite already being out of the room, is excessive, unreasonable, and unacceptable. Unfortunately, that wasn’t our only issue. The first room we were given had an overwhelming urine smell. The odor was so strong that we could not stay in the room longer than a couple of minutes and had to request another room immediately. The second room was better, but the shower water temperature constantly fluctuated while showering. The hotel does offer complimentary snacks and drinks in the attached cafe, but most of the menu was unavailable. Beware. "

"Situation idéale pour visiter le Centre Historique et accès facile aux transports en commun pour sillonner la ville. Le personnel est prévenant et aux petits soins, la vue sur le Zocalo depuis la terrasse est incroyable. Les chambres sont grandes, bien entretenues et très calmes. Un super séjour !"
