Terrible
We booked the hotel at the last minute, only a few minutes after booking, when we saw the room we canceled it and left. The rooms are dirty, lack of maintenance, but mainly you can smell the humidity and mold, our room also smelled of cigarettes. In addition, the hotel did not agree to the cancellation of the reservation, even if it lasted only a few minutes, and demanded payment of the full price. Probably the worst experience with accommodation in Greece...

Restaurants and cafes were walking distance. Shuttle service was available for pickup and drop off at airport . This was a great convenience. The beach Was a 3 min walk from hotel .

We had a great 6 nights here. Room was lovely and bright and the bed was extremely comfortable. The pool area was lovely and so well maintained. All staff were friendly and helpful. The area is quiet and more for locals so no big tourist shops but lovely local tavernas. Great place to stay.

Love Marathon Beach Resort!
this place was a great deal especially since it is right down the street from the beach and is in close proximity to many restaurants. The staff is all very friendly especially Lisa and Julianna at the front desk! This will be our choice on our next visit to the Athens area.❤️

My google map brought us to a different location with the address provided in the Hotels.com email. Since it was after 9pm. It was dark and scared when we couldn't locate the resort.

Tired hotel. Hotel room is cold with pebble floor, not particularly clean. Bathroom only has dispenser for shower gel/shampoo. Furniture is worn out and dirty. Buffet dinner was dried out and unappetizing. Hotel staff were not particularly helpful and very slow.

The beach aspect is nice, I however came in a wether front rainy and windy, the town is sleepy and people stay to themselves. The hotel was fine, older but in good condition. I however did not appreciate the staff, from short changing me when making change for me, to overcharging for services, tip: everything they supply you with is 50 euros & up, your better off to plan your own taxis to Athens or other areas you might travel too or take the city bus.

Lovely staff very helpful organising a shuttle bus from the airport to the hotel plus trip to central Athens. It’s a peaceful hotel with great service, I had a excellent massage also. I highly recommend and will be coming again.

Our stay at the Marathon
Our stay overall was good, only dissapointment was we asked for a quiet room and were assured it was, but we were next to a restUrant in the hotel that played very loud music till 2 am. When we complained at 11pm we were told we had to pay for a more expensive room on the other side of the hotel. Very disappointing.

Nice beach-side hotel
We only stayed one night but our room was very comfortable and quite large, with a small balcony, and the staff very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a nice pool. the (very) nearby beach was quite good and there's plenty of local bars and eateries.

Wonderful resort in a quiet quaint town on coast
We had a great time. The service was awesome. Front desk always helpful. Extra pillows came 1 min after asking for them! Our room was #29 first floor. Quiet and very close to the pool. The AC worked well, the beds are comfortable, tv had English Chanels only at night. The only thing I don't like was the room was not that clean. The floor is some sort of rocks, like outside, which never really gets clean. I had to leave towels on the floor to feel germ free. The pool is really nice! The breakfast was just ok. But don't be late,they take everything away at 10am. You can walk to the beach in 5 min. Plenty of restaurants there. Or walk into town, at the square for yummy gyros and waffles. We also went to see a movie at the local outdoor movie theatre for 6 euros each. We also rented bikes but they are all very old and falling apart with low airin the tiers. Not worth 12 euros. They should be free to take for the guest, that's how low quality they are. But I would say this place is great. I'd stay again.

Great last night's stay in Greece
We stayed here our last night in Greece. The resort is located about 40 minutes from the airport. The hotel is really nice - wonderful salt water pool, great location steps from the beach. We found the beds to be very comfortable- high quality mattresses. Lots of great restaurant choices within walking distance.
