"Location was wonderful to walk around Asheville. Friendly staff. The bar food needs help! Was told the fried green tomatoes were made in house and that they breaded them to order. I don't believe that for one second. I sent them back. They also served them with ranch dressing, not the house-made remoulade as described on the menu. Morning coffee set for guests was a nice and good quality."

"I don't often leave reviews of hotels, but our stay at the Kimpton Arras in Ashville was truly exceptional. The room was lovely and well appointed, the staff were generous, friendly and interested (everyone from the valet parking staff to the front desk personnel--Adam was a standout--were exceptional) and made us feel right at home. Didn't take advantage of the spa or restaurant for anything other than breakfast, but the food we did have was very good and reasonably (for a nice hotel) priced. We stayed here two nights and then spent two nights at the Omni Grove Park Inn and all told, this hotel was both less expensive and an overall better experience (especially as regards the personnel, who were more attentive and professional than GPI, in my opinion). Will definitely plan on staying next time we are in town, as the convenience to the downtown area cannot be beat."
