"This was our best stay on our whole trip to Scotland. While, it was a little off the beaten path, it provided a quiet, cosy oasis after we had been staying in towns in lodges without parking for our car. Achmore had ample parking on site. Ida met us at our car and showed us to our room while loading more fire wood in the pot belly stove in room. It was a lovely site as we walked in! So warm and cosy. "One of the best Scottish full breakfast meals of our holiday. Unfortunately we had to leave a day early. We had room#8 and from the minute I walked in, I started sneezing and my eyes would water up and get congested. Fortunately we weren't in the room much but I barely got any sleep due to tossing and turning. Finally after three of our four nights we had to leave. The hotel did offer to see if they could move rooms but that really wouldn't have mattered at that point. I am allergic to dogs and perhaps that is the reason. Unfortunately our rooms were non refundable so I had to lose a nights costs to get a good night of sleep. "
